Menus and Miles Sat. March 15th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
Late posting....sorry! DGS had a basketball game 1t 10:00 and DH and I ran a few errands. So far it has been a carby Saturday for me!!!
My Menu is not your typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome). Success means: Protein first then add other foods!!!!
Protein:
Breakfast: 1/2 biscuit and honey
Lunch: 1 Hot Dog in bun

Welcome Back!! I looked up your profile to refresh my memory and read your profile post. Looking at your menu it looks like you are trying really hard to get back on track. Your Protein total is still pretty low. Adding in a couple of Protein shakes made with GOOD Whey Protein mixed in water might help a lot.

Thanks Roz :)
I'm working on it, I normally do have at least one protein drink per day (Premier protein RTD or Max protein powder mixed with unsweetened Almond Milk) sometimes 2 depending on how much protein vs carbs/calories that I've had that day. The great news out of this whole debacle is that I still don't get really hungry and I still have fairly good restriction, when it comes to dense protein (carbs not so much) . The numbers that I'm shooting for are 90-100 grams of protein, around 800 cals, and under 40 grams of carbs (dairy & veggies).
Thanks for the encouragement and if you think I need to change my approach please let me know.
You should try the Syntrax Nectares. 100 calories, 0 carbs, 23 Protein (mix with water to save on carbs) The majority of use this one. It wasn't popular on here when you were around before.
