OT-X-Post, new teaching job

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share that today, I was offered my first full-time teaching job. It is only temporary and will end in June, but it is a start. I am taking over for a teacher who found another job. It is temporary because the charter school I will be working for is restructuring next year and will no longer have high school students.

While this really doesn't have anything to do with my VSG, I wanted to share because many of you know what a struggle the whole job search has been. Oh, I interviewed in a beautiful business suit that I picked up at Goodwill for $10, size 6.

I think I'm going to have to go by the thrift store by my home soon for some clothes.

I shopped exclusively at thrift stores while I was losing and now, 3+ years out, I still basically do.  I get sticker shock in regular stores. 

That's Awesome!  My DD#3 has been substituting hoping to get a full-time position this school year.  Our school district only hires full-time in the special ed. department.  Everyone else hired is considered a long term sub. She will have her Masters and special ed in December so if not this year maybe she will get hired next year.

Hurray.  It is a foot in the door and if they like you, the chances increase in getting a permanant position.
