Menus and Miles Fri. Mar. 14th

Switzerland is a 10 hour drive from Brussels. It is an amazing thing here but almost without exception school age kids from kindergarten go on 'away' school trips for several days every year or every 2 years. It blew me away at first and I was a bit unsure about me 5 year old leaving for a week at the sea side. But now I see how beneficial it is for their independence and self confidence. My boys are all very self reliant and I think this tradition has been a part of it!  Still, the 6th graders going on ski holiday in Switzerland is a big deal and one if the most anticipated trips of childhood for Belgians. :)
