Year appointment and thanks to all

I had my year appointment (actually 14 mos) appointment with my nut and surgeon yesterday.  It went really well.  Apparently it is rare for them to see a VSG patient who loses 90% of EBW.  How did you do it they ask.  "Well I just did what I was told!"  I should have added I couldn't have done it without all the support and information I have gotten from OH, specifically this board.  The other boards can be so snarky and mean at times.  I love the kindness and acceptance I have found here.  Recording what I ate every day on Roz's message really has helped me.

I am one of the rare ones that pretty much followed my nutritionists advice to the "T" If she said increase calories, I increased calories, Same with carbs. My program has been a moderate carb one. I really try to eat as clean as I can.  I was surprised to find that since maintenance started I have naturally gravitated towards  a plan that exactly matches what she thinks I should be doing.  She was also able to answer some nagging concerns I have had.

All in all a great day even if I had to drive home in a blizzard (normal 2.5 hour trip took 4 hours). The only sad thing was I splurged on a VENTI skinny vanilla latte and I SPILLED IT  AARGH.

Thanks to you all

Anne

Way to go, Anne!  I've had the same experience at my surgeon's office.  They set my "ideal" weight at 127 but have said they don't expect 100% EBW loss.  I'm like, "why not?"   The NPs in that office are completely freaked out about how well I've done and I was like you - just told them I did what I was told (with a lot of guidance from this website too!).

Congratulations on all your success
