Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!

We got missed by the snow and ice....YEAH!!  My car windows were icy when I got out of work yesterday but we didn't get the terrible weather that was predicted.  It's pretty sunny out now.

My Menu is not your typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome).  Success means:  Protein first then add other foods!!!!

Breakfast:   1 Whole Egg, 1/4 cup Eggbeater Whites and 2 Tbs. Diced Ham
Lunch:         Tuna Salad and 6 Saltines

Snack:         1/3 cup Low Fat Cottage Cheese, 1 Tsp. SF Strawberry Jam, and a little Splenda
Snack:         Popcorn
=  1 Tbs. Oil, 2 Tbs. popcorn, a little salt popped in a Microwave Popper
Dinner:        1 Slice Pizza

Calories     Protein      Net Carbs      Fat    Sugar

Well TGINF.  I'm in an all day meeting tomorrow, so we'll see what I end up eating!!  Should be fun ;-)

No he doesn't.  I was at a loss as to what to pick as a username when I signed up.  I wonder if I could've had Honeypie!!  with the exclamantions.  Honeypie was already gone, so I misspelt it and people probably think I just can't spell now!!   Funny I'm so used to the misspell now, that the correct spelling looks wrong to me!!

It's sunny here but very cold and windy.  There was a tiny bit of snow in the grass and blowing when I got up (actually, when it was daylight enough to see, I hate this dark morning stuff but love the longer afternoons.  The ponies still have their blankies on with the wind.  Tomorrow is suppose to be 60.  What a rollercoaster.

I don't like these dark mornings either.  I don't know why I thought it was going to be lighter in the morning...lol.   It's in the low 20's here but the sun is shinning.

Sounds like a Great Protein Day Price!!!

Roz, I’m glad you didn’t get the brunt of that storm. It looked nasty from all the reports I was seeing.

I didn’t get much of any sleep last night due to hubby’s snoring and tossing/turning. I actually gave up trying to sleep in the bed at about 1 AM and tried to sleep on the sofa. Didn’t work out too well. My PCP had already told me that with going through Perimenopause that sleep would be a possible issue for me. I did manage to get a little good nap in this morning after hubby and son left for work. Then cabin fever hit and I decided to go out for a bit with my daughter. We ran a few errands and then came home to the younger dog having torn up his bed in the kennel. What a wonderful sight to come home to… bedding everywhere. Oh well…

MENU:

B – ¼-cup scrambled egg, ¼-cup brown Jasmine rice and 2 oz. smoked sausage (11 g protein, 11 g carb)

S –

L – 2 small slices of cheeseburger pizza (12 g protein, 26 g carb)

S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g)

D – 1/2-cup New England clam chowder w/ corn and salad (5 g protein, 20 g carbs)

Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g)

VITES: done

WATER: 64 oz.

MILES: none

Does your DH do that often or is something troubling him? My DH not only snores he kicks and bangs the mattress.  It's so funny because he such a gentle man when he is awake. We have a king size bed and I rarely move during the night and it's a good thing.  After 40 years of marriage I've gotten use to it but it use to scare me. Now I just give him a poke and tell him to calm down.

Maybe your doggie was upset you didn't take him for a walk today.

Looks a little carby today.........I'm having pizza for dinner too...

Hubby has a snoring problem.  He was treated for sleep apnea when he was in the Navy.  They did surgery because he was assigned to a forward-deploying ship.  Now that he's put on a lot of weight himself, he snores pretty loud.  As for the tossing and turning, he's had a ton on his mind - from work to having to do jury duty.  I may have to just try the whole poke him awake like you do to your DH.

Yeah, Dale's not used to being left at home without one of us here.  Not sure what to do about the anxiety issues he has.

And yep I went overboard on the carbs today.  I'm noticing it's something I tend to do when I'm either ill or very tired.  I did pick up more protein while I was out today - Syntrax Nectar Iced Tea.  I think having all the protein around will definitely help.  Tomorrow's a new day and I'll regroup.
