Well Belgium is very central- and small!- so it is a 50 minute drive to reach the French border from Brussels, a 90 minute drive to reach Germany and a 90 minute drive to reach Holland. DH's family are in Burgandy, in central France and it takes us about 6 and ½ hours to get to the family farm from our home in the outskirts of Brussels. Not too far, but not too close if you know what I mean!
The sun finally is out today and it's in the 70s here today. I've had the chance to sit outside and just enjoy it. My daughter and I are planning on going for a walk tomorrow since it'll be warm and sunny again.
I can't wait for Spring to be officially here. I'm looking forward to starting on my veggie garden - oriental eggplant, grape tomatoes, cucumber, romaine lettuce and some spinach. I'm thinking maybe some herbs too bjt I haven't settled on which ones just yet.
Where are you going to be visiting here in Florida, Roz? Hubby is planning on seeing his dad in Bellvue (sp?), IL later this year. He hasn't seen his dad in about 15 years now.

It will be several months before we can plant any kind of vegetables. We used to have a huge garden but when my in-laws passed away my DH couldn't planting it but he was talking about making a small one this year.
We come down to Disney for All-Star Cheer Competitions. My DD Coaches 12 teams and as of right now we are taking 6 teams down. At the next competition there might be more that earn bids to attend. We will be there for 10 days because the 2 advanced teams compete the first weekend and then the other 4 compete the next weekend. My DH's best friend moved to Orlando and I have relatives in Port Charlotte that we try to see.
Sounds Good!

My best friend's girls cheer competitively. I use to cheer in high school myself but never had the chance to compete. My daughter is a musician and plays the clarinet and keyboard. She's a lot quieter than I ever really was... LOL.
My mom is pushing me to start planting my tomatoes. So I may be starting my garden this coming weekend.
What gym does your friends DD cheer for? How old is she? My DD Coaches the FCA GEMS. My girls played instruments in school. My oldest was first chair violin and use to play at weddings and my middle played the clarinet. My youngest tried drums, trumpet, violin, etc. She is much better as a Coach....LOL.

My friend lives in my home state of Hawaii. The girls (twins) cheer for Hawaiian Heat All -stars and are 11 years old now. I don't know what the lead organization is though.
My clarinet player was 2nd seat during events and got to play with the local high school band once before changing to being homeschooled. Hopefully soon she'll be playing with her old bandmates under an agreement between the k12.com program and the local school board. She taught herself how to play the keyboard after asking me last year for one. She does pretty good.
