Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!!  6 of our 8 grandkids are sick.  5 of them went to the Drs. to get looked at. All different symptoms but all have Influenza A. The ER Dr. told my one DD that it is the Mother of all Flus.  DH and I are staying away hoping we don't get sick.

My Menu is not your typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I am not allowed to have them because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome). Success means:  Protein first then add other foods!!!!

Breakfast:       A cup of Herbal Tea
Lunch:             1 piece of Meatloaf
, 6 Saltines and a Lite Laughing Cow Swiss Cheese Wedge
Snack:             Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar
Snack:
Popcorn
Dinner:            Steak and 3 bites of Potato Soup
Snack:             Popcorn

Flu jabs are the only way to go!  I've been getting them for 20 years now and I got the norovirus once as it wasn't in that year's flu jab.  I used to get flu every year before I started getting the jabs.  Anyways I hope they all feel better soon.

DH gets one every year so hopefully it helps him out.  I only remember having the flu 4 or 5 times in my life and 3 of those times was when I was pregnant. It's rare for me to even get a cold.  that's probably why this whole bladder thing has me going in circles because I'm not use to being sick.

Sounds good!

Oh dear - sick babies are unhappy babies.  Hope they are feeling well soon...

I rarely get the flu too.  (knock knock).  I've had my share of colds, etc.  I wasn't sick at ALL for the first 3 years after my RNY.  I attributed it to my vitamin regimen, as I don't get the flu shot, but that didn't hold true for the few years after.  I've had my share of colds... luckily that's all they were.  Hoping you don't get sick!

Making chili for my daughter tonight - my night to cook.  It's a "caveman" chili - which has no beans (low carb).  Hamburg, bacon (yes, bacon!) chili seasonings, onions, green pepper, red pepper, mushrooms and chopped green chilis.  I think it tastes awesome!

B - coffee X 2

L - leftover pork chop

S - double protein drink (haven't decided what kind yet)

D - chili

Vits:  yes

water:  working on it.

Are you staying at your DD's? I really miss having my Wendy's Chili.  It does sound good but  I couldn't leave out the beans because I love kidney beans.

Sounds Good Jody!

No - I have a house in MI.  I'm about 10 miles from her now.

I'm not a big bean fan and doing the real low-carb they have too many carbs in them... i didn't miss them at all!

The flu bug that's going around is no joke!  I got my flu shot once it was available through the Mayo Clinic Primary Care.  I've gotten it every year because of my son being asthmatic.  I guess it's become a habit.  Fortunately no one in my household has come down with it.  My dad had it back in January.  Knocked him on his rear... and he almost never gets sick.

Roz, I hope your grandkids feel better soon and that you and DH don't catch it.Here's my menu for the day:

MENU:

B - Click! Coffee Protein drink (20 g)

     Hard-boiled egg (6 g)

S - Click! Coffee Protein drink (20 g)

L – Shrimp Tempura Sushi Roll (12 g) **couldn't help myself as I've been craving sushi for weeks; will be back on track tomorrow as I got my sushi fix.**

D - Turkey Taco Salad (28 g)

S – Protein Shake (26 g)

VITES: done

WATER: 56 oz.

MILES: 3.82 miles
