Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!     

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!

I have never experienced a "Whiteout" until 45 mintues ago and I my hands and knees are still shaking.  I hope to never experience another one!!! My DH who was traveling the opposite directions called me to tell me to put my 4 ways on and stay a distance behind the car in front of me. I had to stop to pull into my DGD's school and almost got rear ended twice.  The first car swerved and went around me but the 2nd..3rd....was going really fast and went sideways.  Traffic cleared coming towards me so I hurried and pulled into someones driveway then pulled myself together before backing out on to the road.

OK...I have been cramping terribly the last 2 days clear to my knees and I deliberately didn't mention to the Dr. that I drank several protein drinks and I feel soooooo guilty!!  I mentioned a thigh at KFC and grilled shrimp at TX Roadhouse but not the protein.  So no Protein drinks for me this week!   I need to get the list out she gave me and stick to it this week. I guess if I'm not going to listen to her advice then I deserve to suffer with cramps and why am I wasting her time and my money.

I had a stomach bug yesterday so I am going easy on the food again today!  I did lose a pound. It will come back when I start eating normally again :(

No school today. -20 wind chill. Actual temp 0.  Brrrrrr. I'm staying inside today!  I hate white out conditions!

How scary!!!  Glad you are ok.

It's cold here but not that cold.  I am so ready for winter to go away.  I have a driving lesson with Teke tomorrow but it is suppose to be almost 50 so I will layer up and be fine.

I think the plain vanilla might work but I just can't figure it out.  I'm trying really hard to eat from her list but most of the stuff is so tasteless.  She said the pain can start 2 days later so I don't have a clue what's causing the pain or what's not.  Just because it effects her doesn't mean it would effect me.

Someday we are going to meet!!!

I haven't posted for a couple of days.  Having a not so great week.  DH was scheduled for a cardiac ablation (to treat his arrhythmias) on Tuesday. 

We had to leave for Cleveland at 9 am so I hopped out of bed at 530 to go to the gym.  Well it was icy and I fell down the front stairs and landed on my right hip.  As we had to get to Cleveland I just sucked it up and was miserable all day Tuesday and Wednesday with hip and back pain.  the three hour rides there and back didn't help matters, also sitting in waiting room chairs. The good news is the ablation worked!  No more arrhythmias!

By the time I got home last night I was miserable, so I spent the whole day today in the ER getting xrayed all over.  No fractures, but lots of contusions. I am sitting on the couch right  now with a heating pad on my hip.  I am not thinking I will be going to work tomorrow either. 

My eating has been extremely disorganized and got out of control a couple times.  Hospital and restaurant food all day Tues and Weds were not helpful and by evening time I was miserable and exhausted.  I havae managed to get back on track today after giving myself a strong lecture. Life does happen and need to deal with it without cookies!

I am such a whiner.  I should just be glad my hubby's heard problem is fixed, not whining about my pain!!

Oh my Annie I hope you are feeling better today (Friday).  Your are very lucky you didn't break something but some times aches and pains hurt worse than breaks.

I am sorry the protein shakes do that to you.  I imagine it is hard to change your eating habits after doing it this way for over 4 years.  Hope you feel better.
