Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!
Afternoon Ladies and Gents!! I've done pretty good the last couple of days fighting the sugar monster. I just read an article on AOL that said sugar is 8 times more addicting than cocaine. I've never had alcohol, smoked, or tried illegal drugs but I do know I am addicted to sugar.

Pretty day here but the wind is cold. I waited until it warmed up some then drove Teke and rode Poppy. Both were very good.
Sugar is kind of hard for me because I am feeding the monster all the time with sweet protein coffee, sweet protein drinks. My father was an alcoholic, the kind that never missed a day of work but drank way too much and every day. I have always been very careful around alcohol but I think you can be addicted to lots of things. I know that sweet liqure like ameretta and irish creme are a weakness for me. A little in my coffee today and tomorrow I want it over ice cream. The combination of alcohol and sugar is deadly.

It's really hard to avoid sugar or even the sweetness of artificial sweeteners. I don't go out and buy banana flip cakes, cookies and candy bars like I did before surgery but I struggle having treats within reaching distance.
Sounds good Price!

Neither DH and I have ever had alcohol or even tried smoking. We went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot with our DD's and the waitress said they put alcohol in the sauces they use for dipping (I asked because of the sugar). I know it's foolish because there is alcohol in foods that disappear but I insisted they mix it with something else. My DD's laughed their heads off and apologized to the waitress.
The bacon didn't bother you today? I forgot to check out the gorgonzola sauce.
You look low in Protein?
