Finally back from the gymnastics competition. DS#2 placed 8th overall which was a great win for him and his club at a national meet. He was in the 12-14 year old group and since he only turned 12 last month and the physical difference between 12 and 14 when you are a boy is Major. He is thrilled as they gave out awards and medals for the top ten gymnasts. So very happy at my house today.

Thanks Roz - yes it is pretty awesome, I must humbly admit! He has qualified for the next national event at the end of March and is upping his hours of training for the next four weeks... he's a determined little guy that's for sure. He is very small for his age and slight. All muscle and super fit. He could give all of us here a lesson in how and what to eat! He has always been super fit and eats very healthy - where did that come from?
It's funny because of all the posts you've shared about eating at meets I got up extra early to pack up stuff for me to eat - kinda like packing up the diaper bag for the baby only the baby this time was ME! So I kinda felt like all I did was eat all day, but at least I was stuffed with protein! Takes a lot out of you to cheer your kiddos on!
Chex mix is definitely a snacking trigger for me. Time passed since surgery: 17 months
Breakfast: 2 cups coffee with sf creamer, l & f yogurt
Lunch: last of the leftover beef barley soup
Dinner: Ribeye steak, broccoli and cheese
Snacks: protein lemon tea, Jack Links Turkey Jerky and maybe a mini popcorn bag
Total nutrition: I don't count most days, if I have a gain I will reevaluate :)
Exercise/vitamins/water: beginners yoga again today and zumba on youtube, vitamins by my side (first batch of 4 done), lemon water and 20 oz protein shake and 24 oz of coffee

One of my DD's guests made it and brought it to the party. It was delicious!!! I'm so glad it stayed at DD's house!!!
I have got to figure out how to make a good soup. I LOVE soup but the canned soups that I am allowed are disgusting!!
Sounds Good!

Soups are super easy to make. I make and freeze them a lot. Do you eat carbs in your soups? I have a great recipe for tortellini soup and I have my moms recipe for egg dumplings if you eat that stuff. ( I do, just not every meal)
