Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!

Good Morning LW's!!!   It is a bright sunny morning here in Western PA!!  It's also a Fantastic Morning for me that I might pay for later but at this moment I am enjoying a Mint Cookie Protein drink and I guess I will just have to deal with the consequences later.  No one can squeal on me and tell my DH or my Doctor!!!  If I can trust anyone I know it's my LW's because you all understand how important our Protein is to us.....no one else understands!!!!  I just can't get enough good protein from food and I feel so run down and I swear my hair is thinning out again.  Besides that....Boy this tastes GOOD!!!!

Grandson #1 has a basketball game and today is Grandson #2's second Birthday Party so we have a fun filled day ahead of us.  I absolutely love my SIL's family and looking forward to spending the afternoon with them.

This website was on AOL and these Protein recipes sounded really good plus it takes you to other protein recipes sites:  http://food.allwomenstalk.com/fantastic-recipes-to-make-with -protein-powder-that-taste-like-dessert

Yep, your secret is safe with us. You can't let your protein lapse. As a malabsorber you have to be on top of this even though doctors just can't seem to wrap their heads around our rerouted innards and our inability to absorb the way everyone else does. Hang in their, Roz.

Oh dear, you'r stuck between a rock and a hard. I've had very loosely similar issues in my case.  I used to be a gum addict and ate SF gum ALL the time until I could no longer tolerate the sweetener (Xylitol) due to IBS... so I ate food instead of chewing gum!!   I hope you find a way to make lemonade with the lemons you've been dealt.  I'm grateful I've gotten to know some lovely WLS folk, so that's my silver lining.

I've been going for SF egg custard today in an attempt to reduce the amount of carbs I have... oh for the good ol' days when I had a little sleeve!!

B Low egg custard w protein scoop (30)
S Cheese (5)
L Basa fish fillet (25)
S Yogurt (5)
D Chicken Kiev (30)
S Low egg custard w protein scoop (30)

Protein total (125)
F 72+
V All in (inc 7 calcium batches) nightime iron, vit C & copper & strontium batches pending

Did you switch from the Sleeve to the DS?  My SIL's uncle is looking into WLS and was asking me questions.  He asked me what I thought of the sleeve and the RNY.  I don't have any experience with the Sleeve and I really don't know much about it.

Sounds Yummy!!

I am going to post the most boring menu. I have avoided posting due to boring and unimaginable nature of my routine. Yet I thought I would participate. I am still in WL mode staying under 600 calories daily.

Breakfast: protein shake 30 grams protein + one chicken nugget 6 grams protein = 36
Lunch: 2 oz beef 16 grams protein
Dinner: 3 oz beef 8 grams protein + protein shake 30 grams = 38
Total 91 grams protein with 10 carbs

Vitamins and water= 100 oz check
Miles: mall walking with family and resistance training at costco 😳

Y'all have a great day!

BORING IS GOOD!!!!!!

I know you only had 1 chicken nugget and during the honeymoon period 1 is not going to hurt you but be careful you don't get the sense that it's not slowing you down and you start adding more into your menu.

Sounds Good!

Oh Roz. I'm with you on the low energy without our shakes. I really hope you can enjoy them again without the cramping.  I definitely noticed in the past weeks that I have wonky days with low energy when I don't get in my 2 shakes + protein yogurt. I'm going to bit the bullet and send to the US for a 6 month supply so I can stop fussing about running out all the time!

Fingers crossed for my DS#2 who is competing in his first over 12 national gymnastics event tomorrow morning! We are all so excited. He will compete in all  6 events so hopefully something will work out for him. He has worked so very hard all season. Wish him luck!

B- protein yogurt and coffee - 38g

L- curry lentil soup - 15g

S- lemon ice tea protein-23g

S:  chili - 15g

D:  shrimp and Chinese mushroom stir fry - 28g

All my vits iron pending. Water good. Hard core workout at the gym 90minutes
