Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
DH loved the George Foreman Grill!!!!! I couldn't believe how much fat ran out of his steak and how tender it was. DH usually eats 1 1/2 steaks and I eat the other half. I cut him down to 1 and he didn't fight me on it. Now if I can get him to try a yam backed potato instead of white I will really feel like I accomplished something! Do any of you cook hamburgers on an inside grill? I've been wondering if it gets all squished when you close the lid?Protein: Egg/eggbeater and a piece of Canadian bacon

HI Roz! Day late
My sister and I have been doing the low-carb.... she has slowly been adding in others things (like oatmeal) and then wondering why she's not losing. I drove back yesterday and she says "what am I going to do about this diet since you're leaving"... I said "continue" she said "yea, but you've been doing all the cooking!. She's a picky eater and stuck her nose up at any veggie - but I made her try them - lol. She found out she DOES like mashed cauliflower after all.
Drove back to VA yesterday. PA toll road wasn't the best and what surprised me was all the IDIOTS that didn't have their lights on! It was "foggy" with snow coming down...
Food was more snack types because of the drive.
I had bought at Kroger a few weeks ago these protein 2 go snack packs. You get them where the lunchables are. They had ham, cheese and almonds in them. I hadn't tried them yet and figured they'd be PERFECT to eat on the road - and they were. They also were very good.
B - coffee
S - 3 packets of the snack protein 2 go packs - the carbs were in the almonds, I think there were 3 per package
S - starbucks sf cinnamon dolce latte. I had them make it with full fat cream (no carbs). It tasted very good, but my pouch complained after a bit. I only drank half of it. I've had them made with the full fat whipping cream before and it upset me. Not sure why... if it is just too much all at 1 time? I use it for lots of other things I may try drinking it slower next time.
S - double fuzzy navel protein drink
D/S (when I got back) - cut some cheese up and ate with garlic ring bologna (ugh - THAT didn't set well either)
Water took my flavored water and it went down very well (thankfully I didn't have to stop more than the 1 time!)
Vits: no, I forgot them... shame on me!
