WLS 2/11/2014
Hi! I'm scheduled for WLS on Tuesday (2/11/2014). I'm both nervous and excited at the same time. I only have about 60 lbs to lose. I also have diabetes and high blood pressure! As a lightweight, how much did/do you have to lose to reach your goal weight?
Congratulations!
I had about 72 to lose from surgery to lowest goal. Took me 11 months. The first 5 or 6 months were quick drops the last few months steadily got less and less. My loss curve looks like a plane's decent coming in for landing.

I am kind of pushing the lightweight category LOL They let me stay though :)
I had 90 to lose to reach doctors goal of 160, but actually have lost 120
I got to my modified goal of 130 in a year and have stayed within a few pounds of my lowest weight of 129 (with a little bouncing in the 130-133 range)

I'm so excited for you!!!!!! Where here for you if you have questions afterwards. I've learned everything I know from the LW board and it has been my only support group for the last 5.5 years and they have done a fantastic job!
My Goal was to loose 75 lbs. but my Surgeon told me 50 would probably be realalistic. I actually lost 97 and have maintained 84 for the last 3+ years puts me ata normal BMI.
Does losing 60 pounds put you at a Normal BMI? Lose as much as you can during the honeymoon period because your body will have some bounce back and you want to still be in the Normal range after that bounce back happens.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

This is a great place to hang out and get lots of support. I am only 6 months out from my revision and am down 96 lbs! I have another 21 more to go to get to goal, but who knows, maybe I go lower. I think my body will decide, but I really want to get there! Hope your surgery goes well tomorrow. Keep us posted on your progress...
Congratulations on getting your date. I had more to lose than most on here. I lost over 125, but have gained back about 8. I lost really fast for the first six months then it slowed down and it took me about 1 1/2 years to get to my lowest weight. I did exercise and that helped.
What type surgery are you having? Sorry if I missed that somewhere. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress and let us know if you have any questions.
