WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
Good Morning LW's!! We are having another snow storm. I think we got around 3" during the night and it is still snowing. DH isn't allowed to drive so we are skipping out on church this morning. The roads usually don't get cleared here over the weekends.
DH is very tired but he looks better than I have seen him in a long time. Now that he knows he has had a heart attack maybe he will go to the hospital when he has chest pain. He fights me because he has went so many times before and they have told him it wasn't his heart. In 2004/05 it took him 5 trips to the ER before they finally did a heart cath and found out his large aorta was ready to burst and they did emergency surgery. Not everything shows up in those EKG's or stress tests.
Not sure about the eats today. Our cupboards are kind of bare since I didn't get to do my regualr grocery shopping.
Yesterday I got updates on the competition all day long. DD took 11 teams and got 11 first places plus nurmerous other awards. DH and I are still debating on whether we are going to GA or not. We can cancel up to 2 hrs. before the flight leaves but I can't keep DD#3 hanging. If we stay home we will watch her boys so she doesn't have to inconvience friends.

It did taste pretty good. DH usually eats a lot of bacon but I limited him to 3 pieces. So far he isn't fighting me but it's all still fresh in his mind. I used the eggbeaters for his two and he never said a word so I guess I can get away with that and he will be eating healthier and not even knowing it.

I found this web site and use it to help my DH. He low carbs and his cholesterol and blood sugar meds work much better. He also drinks protein coffee and eats Greek yogurt. http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/c/7986/106385/oatme al-heart/

Yea DD! I'm still waiting for the video of Reagan (sp) you promised on Facebook - I'd love to see it.
Went for my eyelid follow up yesterday. I need to massage the scars to get the fluid out. Still a bit puffy, but getting better. He said to use cocoa butter, but I don't have any. I'm thinking pretty much any cream that won't hurt your eyes will work.
Eats today will be leftovers (for the most part).
B - 3 pieces of link sausage and 2 eggs over/medium. I'm not feeling that great now.. hope it's not going to be another one of "those" days where my pouch decides to be picky. Oh and coffee
L - it was kinda a late lunch... so maybe nothing
D - leftover chicken cordon bleu
Vits: I will
Water: starting on it.

I asked SIL again to put the video up but I haven't seen it. DD#1 will be home from the gym in a little bit so maybe she knows how to do it. Did you see Gina's post about being a Grandma again...it's a Boy!
It seems like when I cut back my carbs which limits my food intake my tummy is picky too. It's probably the carbs that keep it calm.

For massage - try organic coconut oil. Good for your skin and scars. And smells good.

Sounds like DD is a star coach once again!
B: coffee then protein yogurt = 38g
L: few bites of quiche but eggs just don't work for me anymore :(
S: 2 slices of chicken breast + 1 slice of lite Swiss = 15g
S: Greek yogurt with protein powder = 33g
D: chili w/ guacamole and Greek yogurt = 20g
S: maybe hot chocolate protein = 23g
Water and vits fine. No miles
DD is good at what she does. I really like my job but it would be so nice to have a job you LOVE! The fact is she loves being at the gym and holding practices but HATES the competitions. It is so much stress especially locally. There is always a fear of losing and girls leaving to go to another gym. She invests so much of her emotions into these girls that when someone leaves she is so broken hearted and if they leave and go to another gym she really takes it personally.
I hate a lot of scrambled eggs during my 6 month "diet" before surgery and then after WLS I couldn't eat them at all. They would get stuck for a couple of days. Fortunately I can use the egg beater whites and I am starting to love them again.
Sounds like a good Protein day!
