Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!     

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

 Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

YES IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!  I'm not sure if I'm more excited about that or that my scale**** 119 this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I guess the !! gives you a hint!  I can't really claim it until I hit it 2 days in a row though.  I'm down 5 lbs. since  I have been basing my food on Protein, cutting carbs/sweets and reading labels for MSG.  I wasn't eating many carbs but a bite here and there really adds up especially when you aren't keeping track of your totals. DON'T fall into the Carb Trap!!   I write about this above but I personally have experienced it now and it is soooo easy to get hooked again and seeing those scales move up isn't much fun.

Have an Awesome Weekend!!!  It's suppose to be 50 and rainy here tomorrow but I will take it over freezing and snow.

Breakfast:      Nature Valley Almond Crush Bar
Lunch:            Orgnaic Vegetable Soup  (YUK)
Snack:            Tuna salad and 6 saltines

Snack:            1/3 cup Fage 0% Greek Yogurt with a TBS. of SF cheesecake pudding and 1 tsp. Splenda
Dinner:           3 small Deli ham and thin cheese wraps

Snack:             Popcorn

Calories     Protein      Net Carbs      Fat    Sugar

Well, I was dumb today and ate chocolate - a lot of it!! Somebody brought some in to work and I was weak. It gave me stomach ache and I had to take some paracetamol. I'm just about over it now and I hope I learned my lesson!!

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it.  Took 8 months.

hahaha...I always learn my lesson until the next time I am tempted.  Hopefully you won't forget how miserable you were.

Hey Roz, how many carbs do you average a day?  My scale isn't budging and I'm doing low carb but don't know what else to do :(

B: nothing, was in a rush this morning

L: salad from chop't romaine, black beans, peppers, grilled chicken, and a little cojita cheese with green goddess dressing on the side

S: cojack cheese stick and 1 cup popcorn

D: steamed chicken and broccoli from chinese restaurant with sauce on the side

S: none

I see quite a few complex carbs - plug your menu into MyFitness Pal and you will see how many you are eating.  In my losing stage, a carb is a carb is a carb (well, really - now too).  I don't see any protein except the cheese... do you eat meat?  drink protein shakes?

Very little!   I haven't figured it out but the only "bad" carbs I have had today are from the 6 saltines. I've never really counted carbs from veggies, beans etc. Even my popcorn is a good carb in my eyes.

When I look at your menu I would think upping your Protein would help rather than cutting your carbs.  You don't use Protein drinks do you?  What always works for me is to up my Protein Drinks for 3 or 4 days and then drop back down to what I was drinking previously.  That usually always broke my stall.

Haven't had much to eat today.

D - leftover partial pork chop and a cheese stick

S - maybe a pickle...
