I didn't know you were getting your eye lids done???? Wouldn't a 7 lb loss be awesome!!!! I can remember at WW there would be women who came in with losses like that but they could put it on just as fast. If I lost 7 lbs. at once I would think I was sick something. I t was rare for me to lose 1 lb a week and I did the same with gains.
I'm getting my blood work done next Friday. I have to get a sonar done on my breast that had the spot so I figured I might as well get the blood work done too since I'm going to be at the hospital. I'm anxious to see where I am compared to a year ago.
Sounds good Jody!!!

The below recipe will bread a LOT of meat. Cut it in half if you're only cooking a few pieces.
1 bag pork rinds
1 pkg ranch dressing
1/4-1/2 c parmesan cheese
1 egg and a tbsp of cream
mix the egg and cream
mix the rinds (smashed up in a blender or something) ranch and parmesan cheese
Take your pork, chicken, fish, whatever. pat dry and salt/pepper each side
dredge in the egg/cream mixture
dredge again in the dry mixture
sautee on each side to seal in juices
bake on 375 (pork) 350 (chicken) for about 25-30 minutes (depending on your oven).
about 4 carbs per piece of meat - and it comes from the ranch dressing - but the dressing really makes the taste!

just searched back to find this. Now I need to get some pork rinds. I bet you can mix the dry stuff and keep it in the frig to use a piece or 2 at a time. Thanks.

Wow, you are all busy! I was reading about the beef soup from yesterday's menu (can't remember now whose it was) but I thought I'd share a tried and true recipe from my French grand mother-in-law. It's DS#3's absolute favorite meal. It's called Pot au Feu -which translates to pot on the stove because it needs to simmer for several hours and is even better the next day. I use a 1 lb or bigger piece of Brisket cut beef, browned in a big pot, then pour boiling water over it to about half full. Bring to a boil and skim the yucky film off, then throw in 4 big carrots cut in half, 2 leeks and some turnips if you have them, and 1 whole green or white cabbage cut in quarters, salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for minimum 3 hours. We usually eat the meat and veggies for one meal and then the soup (I throw in alphabet style noodles for the kids sometimes) for dinner the next night. It always smells yummy and tastes great. It's a winter staple at my house!
