Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

I am so jealous of any of you who can see grass, flowers, sunshine and who don't have to wear a heavy coat and gloves.....LOL.   OH yeah I forgot...and who's temperature is above 50 degrees!!   We are a whopping 20 degrees with a wind shield factor of 6 degrees.

Trying to talk DH into taking me to the grocery store.  I'm guessing the shelves are pretty empty of junk food and bread but the foods I need to buy should be in stock.  I am going to try and make the yogurt shake today....I keep telling myself!!!!  I just don't like milk shakes!!  Maybe if I add extra water it will be thin like my Mint Cookie.....

OK...I made a shake with FAGE 0% and frozen blueberries.  I put it in my protein shaker cup so I could remember this is healthy for me....LOL   I added 2 tsp. of splenda and still had to gag it down so I added a tsp. of sugar.  I feel like it is burning the whole way down and I keep burping and she says this is good for my bladder....how is that possible??? There is no way I can finish this.  I'm going to try frozen peaches next time (maybe tomorrow...definitely not today).  Maybe they are sweeter.  There are a couple of vanilla yogurts that I am allowed so I might try one of those. Maybe I shouldn't have bought wild blueberries it was so sour.   Bring on the warm tea to calm everything down.

Breakfast:   1 Egg and 1/3 cup Eggbeater Egg Whites
Lunch:         1 skewer of grilled shrimp and 1 TX roadhouse roll

Snack:         made the peach shake...most of it was dumped down the drain
Dinner:        2 meat and cheese roll ups
Snack:         Popcorn

Calories     Protein      Net Carbs      Fat    Sugar

Oh dear, what a shame - so many people struggle to find a protein shake they like and you had one.  I didn't have a shake today as I'm actually enjoying having a day's break.  Lunch was a nice change today.

We had hail and thunder this afternoon although that seems to have cleared up now.

The 0% and low fat/non-fat dairy products are higher in potassium for some reason. I hope you feel better. : (

I don't understand everything she tells me.  She told me potassium causes IC but then she also told me to use fage greek.  I cramped almost immediately.  I bought a french vanilla and mixed it with peaches.  Half of it went down the drain but I cramped on the rest.

I'm so sorry you're having such a rough time. I hope the cramps didn't last long.

The higher the fat content in the Fage yogurt, such as 2% or full fat, the lower the potassium. Low fat and fat free have more potassium than the regular full fat.

I also took a look at JayRobb's web site and find nothing to indicate that their process is using MSG or electric currents. See the bottom of the page and read the lead in article. http://www.jayrobb.com/protein/unflavored-whey-protein.asp

I did more research and what I found is that there are 2 methods for creating the whey protein isolates in our protein powders: One is the ion exchange your doc is talking about and the other is cold microfiltration. Both JayRobb and Syntrax use the cold microfiltration or ultra-filtration. Maybe that's why the Syntrax Nectar you were using didn't cause you to cramp.

After I was pain free for a few days I tried the Nectar and started cramping within 15 minutes.  I waited a few days and tried it again....same thing.

I just ordered some vanilla whey, vanilla egg protein, and unflavored single packs.  Hopefully one of them will work. I have a $266.00 order sitting in my garage that I'm not able to drink right now.  My friend said after a year of treatments or DD can eat almost anything but she uses Prelief before it.  I guess I need to contact the company and see if can send this order back.  Shipping is going to be a killer for this big box.

Gina check out this site for me.  http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html

It sounds like unless you plant it and cook it everything has MSG. I think I am going to order some samples of the Jay Robb vanilla and unflavored and see how my body reacts.
