Vegetables

I had the sleeve. I eat tons of veggies and fruit. I eat at least 2 servings of fruit daily and 3 or more servings of veggies. I have had no problems with these 'natural" carbs have lost weight steadily and fairly quickly. I have not found that my cravings are increased by these either. I am a year out, though, and the first few months I just didn't have room. I started eating veggies early, just in super tiny amounts, then gradually increased. for me it is important to get all those nutrients and fiber. Others choose to eat lower amounts of these, it is really what works for you this is what works for me.

I eat veggies at most meals, kale with my eggbeaters for breakfast, some leftover veggie with lunch, celery w/ pnut butter for snacks, veggie soup, salads, etc with supper. Most of my meals are meat and a veggie or salad. I just don't do much starchy veggies (potatoes, corn, limited beans) and almost no fruit at all. Lots of greens and brocalli, green beans, etc.

I normally eat veggies at least with one meal a day, but since I'm super-low-carbing, I've cut them entirely out for a few weeks. I'm staying under 20 carbs a day.

I don't typically post on M&Ms, but I try and have 1/4 c. of veggies with lunch and dinner. And now that I've hit maintenance I have added back 1-2 fruits per day too. I'm happy about that - I love my fruit!
What I don't eat a lot of us is lettuce, and most salads are filled with it and it's usually not dark, green leafy stuff. Your typical iceberg lettuce has no nutritional value and after I get my protein in I don't have any room for it. I find that most lettuce just provides a "bed" for the meat and veggies I need to eat.
