Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

It's so great to be back!!!!   I've got my work all caught up...Thanks Jody for starting the post yesterday and to Gina for checking on me!!!   Well I did it...I stopped drinking my Protein Drinks until my bladder heals up.  I had to give up my Mint Cookie right away because I knew immediately the chocolate was cramping me but I had trouble figuring out my Lemon Tea.  I decided to stop it a couple of days and when I tried it the 3rd day I had mild cramping within 15 minutes which gradually got worse.  Now to figure out how to get all of my Protein in.....I am so afraid I am going to over eat!   My weight is still maintaining and I don't want to see those scales move up.  Besides the cramping not being as bad since I have been avoiding MSG and Citric Acid I am amazed that most of the swelling is gone out of my left leg and ankle. I don't ever remember it not being swelled.  I thought for sure when I lost all of this weight it wouldn't swell any more but it continued swelling.  I'm drinking lots of Peppermint Tea and water trying to get my fluids in. I counted on my Protein drinks to help me with that.

Our teams did great in Indianapolis. It is the 2nd largest competition in the US so we were very pleased with the results.  We took 8 teams and got 4 firsts and 4 seconds. 1 Grand Championship trophy and my DD received 3 Choreography Awards. Our Diamonds won their full paid bid to the All-Star Cheerleading Worlds and our Onyx team got their at large bid they were aiming for.  So now I have to start looking for good airfares to FL.

Breakfast:  1 Egg and 1/3 cup Eggbeater Egg Whites
Lunch:         2 chicken thighs and peas.....I have to ask the Dr. this evening but I think I am suppose to eat white meat (which I have trouble getting down)

Snack:         1 Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar
Snack:         Popcorn
Dinner:        Steak and Vegetable

Snack:         Popcorn

Congratulations to the teams!!

Hope your granddaughter is doing better today.

Could you find some kind of sauce that you can make and put on your chicken?  I can eat white meat if I have something on it to help it be moist.

Play practice every night this week.  Our performance is Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.  I had a young girl come up to me last night and asked me if I was having a girl or a boy(I'm pregnant in the play).  I just laughed and showed her my "bump."  I told her I was way too old to being having a baby...

hahaha...got a great laugh out of the little girls question......

Taylor is home sleeping now. They got home at 6:00 this morning. She has cysts on her ovaries with fluid around them.  We new she had some on her breast but this was a surprise. They are going to put her on some medication that will help with those and the acne she gets every month around her TOM.

I think I'm not allowed dark meat because of the connective tissue. I will ask her about the sauce.   I'm glad I have an appt.this evening.  I'm in bad shape today. I'm thinking it has something to do with me sitting all day. I've got to ask her about that tonight.  I think she is going to try the numbing meds tonight since my DH is driving me.

Sounds Good Linda!

Any suggestions how to make a protein drink with greek yogurt?  I'm going to take the ingredients for Jay Robb with me tonight. Their ad says there is no MSG in it.

I've never made one, but I bet it you put a little milk with it and maybe a little of any kind of pudding mix(if you can have that) and maybe some ice it would make a milk shake like drink.

My daughter had the cysts on her ovaries.  They gave her birth control pills to take and it helped her tremendously.

Have you ever made a Protein drink out of your Greek Yogurt?  My Dr. suggested that.

Burgers and grilled onions sounds good.

The grandkids had mac n cheese last night. I did take 1 bite and then I had to force myself not to take the second one.

Sounds Good!

That's worth a try with the Greek yogurt in the protein drink, thanks.

Hi Roz.  I know giving up your protein drinks is a HUGE sacrifice for you... No, I don't know how to make a protein drink with yogurt... maybe someone else can chime in.

Did well yesterday too - yea me!  Even snuck a hot chocolate protein drink in at the end of the day.  That was my biggest carb source yesterday.  Of course now I'm feeling the "binding up" of a low carb menu... ugh.  Been taking Ducolax and now drinking a Smooth Move tea...  my chocolate protein has either 4 carbs or 8 carbs per scoop - ugh.  I used some of my nectar cappacino this morning so I know it has 0 carbs.  I do have the nectar grapefruit and fuzzy naval with 0 carbs, so that may be an addition instead of the chocolate in the coffee.

I really haven't had any carb withdrawal symptoms, but I think my sister has.  She's had a headache and grumpy - lol.

Today:

B - coffee and a protein coffee (0 carb)

L - chicken thigh, cheese stick and SF bread and butter pickle spear (1 carb)

S - cheese stick or pickle (1 carb)

D - steak

S - protein hot chocolate made with unsweetened almond milk, 1 tblspn of dark cocoa and splenda.  Then put about 3/4 scoop of the matrix mint cookie in.  (9 carbs) - 6 of that was from the protein.

Vits:  yes (1 carb - changed to a different multi)

Water:  ok - need more
