Just wanted to introduce myself here as I have been lurking for some time now. I am just under a month away from my surgery date of February 18. I've completed my 6 month supervised diet and have my final preop rny appointment 1/24, hopefully insurance approval will be no problem as they tell me it will be!
I've been obese most of my adult life except for a major weight loss -75 lbs when my ex husband left and we divorced. I am 5'3" High weight was 220, current weight 212 and goal they tell me should be about 140.
I am now remarried and very happy in my life but ready to shed some weight and feel like I can live the way I did when I lost that weight!
Anyway just wanted to let you all know I'm here and looking forward to participating in this terrific support board!
Welcome aboard! I'll bet you dollars to donuts you'll get lower than 140.

Welcome Katy! Glad you are here and posting. It has helped me so much on my journey to post here where things feel a bit more personal and supportive. Congratulations on your pending surgery! I hope everything goes as planned!
Cheers -
Ashley
Thanks so much all!
My husband had surgery 21 and 17 months ago (long story he had a strange course... they discovered during his surgery he has an intestinal malrotation, doctor did the rny and then during the procedure had to un do it because of ischemia and went back in once he healed and did the vsg). Anyway he has done amazingly well with his weight loss and health.
I am really looking forward to being able to keep up with him!
Welcome to the group, Katy
