I remember Roz saying she wasn't getting home until today sometime so I will get this rolling.

It has been beautiful here today, the calm before the cold and snow comes in tomorrow.  I drove both ponies and am headed to muscle pump tonight.

Every time I put a beef pot roast in the slow cooker, it ends up dry.  This time I put a dressing on it but it was still dry.  What do you do?

I pu****er in with mine - cover it up at least half way.  If the top looks dry, I turn it over.

Low and slow. I've done brisket this way and well as chuck roast. Add a little olive oil to the bottom of the crock pot, put the roast in (you can it sear on all sides first or put it in raw), add an envelop of Lipton onion soup and top with a pat or 2 of butter. Cook for 4 to 5 hours on low. I've also used Jody's way and added a little beef broth; either way has worked for me.

Hi!  Back on track today:  counting carbs:

B - coffee w/cream and splenda.  4 pieces of bacon - 0 carbs

S - 2 eggs over easy - 0 carbs

L - baked chicken thigh - 0 carbs

S - 3 SF bread and butter pickle spears - 3 carbs

S - a few cashews - 2 carbs

D - chicken cordon bleu - 4 carbs

Vits:  yes - 24 carbs (yea,  more carbs in my vits!  I think people don't think of them when counting carbs!) will switch to a different calcium... it was 20 carbs alone

Total:  33 carbs.. hmmm...  

water:  doing pretty good.

wow, good for you.  What kind of calcuim where you taking that had that many carbs?  And you are right, I never thought to see the carbs in my vites.

It is the Celebrate calcium chews.  I broke open my Calcium Citrate pills (yuk).

I get my calcuim by taking am and pm doses with everything else, then having a calcuim chew or 2 after lunch.  I keep those at my desk and they are desert!
