It's gluten free and has lots of good stuff for you. Haven't run the numbers but sounds interesting.

The Life-Changing Loaf of Bread
Makes 1 loaf

1 cup sunflower seeds
½ cup flax seeds
½ cup hazelnuts or almonds
1 ½ cups rolled oats
2 Tbsp. chia seeds
4 Tbsp. psyllium seed husks (3 Tbsp. if using psyllium husk powder)
1 tsp. fine grain sea salt
1 Tbsp. maple syrup (for sugar-free diets, use a pinch of stevia)
3 Tbsp. coconut oil or ghee, melted
1 ½ cups water

In a loaf pan, combine all dry ingredients. Whisk maple syrup, oil and water together in a separate bowl. Add mixture to the dry ingredients and combine until everything is completely soaked and dough becomes very thick, adding 1-2 teaspoons water if dough is too thick to stir. Smooth top and let sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Bake bread for 20 minutes, then remove bread from loaf pan, place it upside down, directly on a rack, and bake for another 30-40 minutes (it should sound hollow when tapped). Let cool completely before slicing.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

I saw this yesterday too and I put it into MFP - yikes!  Since it only makes 1 loaf I estimated that would be 12 decent slices.  Because it's so dense I don't think you'll be able to slice any thinner.

For 1/12th of a loaf:

269 calories (YIKES-A-RONI!); 17 carbs; 9 protein.   Good protein value but I truly doubt it's worth the carbs or calories...at least not for weight loss mode.  But I'll probably give it a try in maintenance.

Yeah, not for losing mode but lots of healthy fat and carbs so maybe ok for later.  Did it say what the fiber was so you can look at net carbs?

Which would make the net carbs around 10 which isn't horrible.

I saw it also.  Question is could I only eat one piece!

I think it would be appropriate for maintenance. (in moderation LOL)

I hope if anyone tries it they post their review.  It could taste either really good, or really bad.

Really dumb question.  do you think the psyllium husk powder is something like metamucil (I know really dumb question) or is that something you buy at a health food store?

I was going to look when I stopped to get the chia seeds, etc.  Metamucil is psyllium but I don't know if it is husk or what.

NOT Metamucil, which is often flavored and has additives. YES,to finding it at a health food store. Whole Foods,Trader Joes, The Vitamin Shoppe and numerous other health food stores will carry it.
