I was wondering if any of you use or have used that green coffee bean stuff? I want to take it until I get out of my stall. I looked back over my weights and I have bounced back and forth between 174-178 for the last TWO MONTHS!!!!!! I wanted to know your take on these pills. Everything I have researched says that there are no side effects and that you don't have to change your diet blah blah blah... My diet is back to being good so I'm not worried about that and because I'm in no need to change my diet and there are no side effects and no gain back I wonder what the problem with using these would be? I just want to break this ridiculously long stall. Thanks everyone HuGS

one of my joys after WLS is that I no longer have to read or listen to whatever is the magic cure for being overweight.  You said yourself "my diet is back to being good" so why are you surprised that you have been bouncing.

this sounds so simple.  Get with the program, stay with the program.  This is for life.  It is not a miracle, it is a tool.

We all know it isn't easy.  If it was easy, we would all be at goal and stay there.

I truly don't listen to those commercials or read the ads.   If you really think about it....a quick fix is just that a quick fix.    I'm sure that is like ALL the other things in the past that you've tried that when you quit doing them the weight lost returns.   My advice to you is up your protein amount...lower your calories just a tad then up your exercise program for about a week.   Then up your calories to what they were before.   Sometimes we have to shock our bodies so that they will drop the weight.     If you are anywhere near your goal....your body could be through loosing weight.   Sometimes you don't drop all the weight that you want.     Good luck and hope my advice helps you out.   I do know how disappointing it is when you hit a stall and have issues breaking it.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

You will not get any slack from me.  If I could get a quick fix that would get this ball rolling, I would hope right on it.  My PCP tells me that he drinks green tea.  I do not know anything about the pills.  I say go for it and if i works, let us all know.

You could try it if you  want and see if it helps.  I am for anything that works but as I have said for years, if there is a magic cure for obesity  then we wouldn't see any obese people walking around.  Obviously some people have had success with it but does it last?  Does the weight come back the second you stop?  Is it worth the money it will cost?  My other question is what mechanism is used to cause weight loss?  If it is to reduce your hunger and the amount you eat then I would consider it a waste of time since you already have the big guns in that area and if that isn't helping you I don't see how a pill or whatever it is could help.

It reminds me of my sister.  She had a RNY at the same time I had my first surgery.  She did good for a while but like many never reached her goal weight.  She also never changed how she ate, thinking that because her stomach was so small that would prevent her from regain.  When I had my revision in 2010 I had regained 100 lbs and she had regained 40 lbs, which to me isn't to terrible especially compared to my gain, but of course she wasn't happy with it so she went on the HCG diet and was very successful with it, losing almost all the weight she gained.  When she described what she was eating I could see how she lost the weight.  It was barely anything but she was happy so I was  happy for her.  She was also paying a lot of money for it but that was her business if she felt it was worth it.  But then she had a vacation coming up and one of the things she liked about the HCG was that she could go off it for her vacation and then go right back on it.  Well, I guess that didn't work out very well because the most recent picture I have seen of her she looks very much like she did before surgery.  I wouldn't be surprised if she gained all the 140 lbs she lost.  I also remember at the same time I had my revision she had gone back to her surgeon for tests to see if her pouch or stoma had enlarged and was told that everything was the way it was supposed to be.  I have not spoken to my sister in a long time, for many reasons, so I can't tell you what she is eating or whatever but she is still on my Facebook page so that is how I saw the picture and has they say, a picture says a thousand words.

I gained a couple pounds over the holidays and was really tempted to put myself back on all protein shakes for a couple days but decided to wait a few days to see if going back to basics worked.

Well I went back to focusing on lean protein, veggies and fruit with a touch of carbs, and dang the excess weight came off within a few days.  Personally I think taking the green tea extract is not a problem,  but we have to learn that we have to stick with our plan (once we figure out what that)  Sounds like you are doing that so you should be heading on down.  The key is consistancy!

if your diet is good and you are on plan every day,you won't need these gimmicky fad diets and supplements. You have previously posted that you Have  been  eating way off plan for days/weeks. This is why you are in a stall.we will lose when we are on plan and we won't when we are off plan. It really is that simple.
