WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
Happy Sunday Morning LW's!!! It's kind of picturesquet (sp) looking out my sliding glass door this morning. Rolling hills, white smooth snow and pine trees. Everything looks so calm and still.
I got an email this morning that my $266.00 (6 months) protein order will be delivered tomorrow. I know for sure I can't drink the Mint Cookie and I hoping the Lemon Tea doesn't cause to much cramping. I'm going today and try some Vanilla that doesn't have any added "Natural Flavors". I always thought "Natural Flavors" was a good thing but it seems to be the root of many evils!!! Natural Flavors = MSG and I've been reading about it and I am shocked at what I've been reading. I guess I'm going to turn into a label reader instead of bargain shopper. I'm going to take this challenge that God has given me and expect good things. DH is always having health problems like aches/pains, dizzy spells and his ears ringing so this might even help him with some of the things they say MSG causes.
It's our month to greet at church so I've gotta run....Have an Awesome Day and I will check in with you all later!!!

First I must admit how jealous I am that you have access to a 6 month bulk automatic protein shake order. Just typing that gives me shivers! Sometimes I miss living in the US so badly! And yes it is terrifying the kind of crap we find in our food when we know what to look for. My 10 year old has a recent Soy allergy. At first I thought no biggie. Then I realized soy is in Everything! I hope you an easily narrow your list and eliminate what isn't working. When you get it right you'll know straight away!

How do you order your Protein? It's hard to believe there isn't a supplier overseas. My friends DD who has IC can eat pretty much anything now but as soon as she gets a sign of cramping she goes back to watching for a couple of weeks. I'm sure I will use all of my Protein eventually.
I can't eat things like soy beans etc. but I've never noticed it bothering me in other things.
Quite an interesting menu! Good Totals!!!

I order my Protein (Sytrax Nectar) from the UK. But one tub costs me upwards of $95 US. Yes, really. I have tried all kinds of protein powders locally but they are not 100% whey isolate and often as they are for body builders they are full of carbs and fat. Oh and they taste nasty. So I just suck it up and pay. And I am happy to have found some one who will ship it to me. I may try the MYUSA.com website to see if I can get it cheaper ordering directly from the States, but with shipping costs and customs duty etc. it's usually even more expensive. My NUT and surgeon's office isn't pro protein shakes anyway so they are no help. But when I see them they are blown away by my success so far and they all agree that the supplements I take (Vitalady, thank you!) are far superior than what they can offer me here. Since my surgery and all after care are covered 100% by my medical coverage, I feel it's a small price to pay to have my health back. But I still gag everytime I place an order!
I would hate, hate, hate it if I couldn't have mint cookie. However, I have got SF peppermint syrup and that is pretty good too so maybe with vanilla, or chocolate, you could add some of the syrup and it would be ok????
MSG is in our protein??? Really??? I mean, I believe you, I am just surprised. Seems totally unfair that we work hard to find protein that we like then have it taken way from us!!!
It isn't too cold here but drizzley and the storm is on its way. I did walk with Thor this morning, cleaned out part of my closet and started rearranging and cleaning out the kitchen so I feel like I have been productive anyway. The house is so upside down and I can't stand it anymore. I am not a neat freak by any means but there are piles everywhere from building shelves in the mudroom closet and bedroom. Everything just needs to be put away, somewhere, tossed or put in to go to the Thrift store. It will be fine when all done, just the process of getting there that is painful. And I have so much work stuff that needs to be done at the same time. Yuck.

My Mint Cookie is my breakfast every single day. so I'm going to have to find something to substitute it with. I have 6 bottles of SF syrups and every one says it has Natural Flavors (I thought Natural was a good word) and that's MSG which is the main thing I'm not allowed to have. What does the Peppermint say on the label? Does it say Natural and Artificial flavors like mine do? I found a hot peppermint tea that seems to calm my bladder some. The only ingredient listed is peppermint.
She told me to have scrambled eggs made with 1 egg and 3 egg beaters egg whites. I'm going to try that this week.
My house still needs straightened up from Christmas. DH took the decorations off but the boxes are still sitting on the couch. I bought a few ornaments for the grandkids for the next couple of years...90% (paid .35 to .60 each) off so I couldn't pass them up...super cute. He is probably waiting for me to pack them in the box.
Sounds Good Price!!

Gina says not all products marked Natural Flavor have MSG in them so I need to contact Syntrax to see if they use MSG. Mint Cookie is definitely out....it must be the chocolate flavoring that is cramping me.
