Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

Good Morning LWs!!!    It's a bright sunny day here in Eastern PA.  The snow is sparkling and absolutely gorgeous! It's getting up to 35 today but then dropping fast in a few days.  I've got to get bloodwork done to day so I'm fasting this morning. Starting to get a slight headache so I better get moving!  Have An Awesome Day!!!!!

My Dr. Appt. went as good as it could.  I left there a little overwhelmed by all of the information but she does sound like she knows what she is talking about.  I did realize that she doesn't understand WLS or the fear of gaining weight.  I understand that most carbs won't hurt my bladder like fruits and vegetables might but those carbs are evil when it comes to maintaining my weight. I can not live on carbs!!!!   IC is like having acid reflux in your bladder.  When I was overweight I had acid reflux and eating carbs made me feel better but I also got to be obese!!!  I figured out what gave me acid reflux and avoided those foods so I just need to pay attention to my bladder now but I need to find WLS friendly foods to eat.

So sorry about your ongoing problems.  Maybe you can add more low carb fruits like berries.  All the best for your blood test.

You can do this, Roz. Figure out what your trigger foods are and avoid them. You don't have to follow blindly since they are giving you normie directions and are clueless about the quality protein powders we use and need. Anyway, I responded in more detail in a pers message back to you.  (((Roz)))

I agree Roz. You know what you can and cannot eat in terms of the evil carbs.  You probably need to log your food and the bladder consequences for a few weeks to find a pattern - if you haven't already - and then slowly add back things if  it is going well. I am apro at this as all three of my boys have severe, yet different, allergies.  We have learned along with our doctors that just because the test results say one thing, the reality can be very different!  Good luck with the blood tests and finding foods that work.

B:  coffee then yogurt protein = 38g

l: chili =18g

s:  one slice ham w/ cheddar =15g

D:  miso soup and 4 pieces of sashimi tuna+ 1 spring roll  = 35g

all vitamins and water. Iron pending

Thanks Ashley!  I'm going to start logging today!  I do not want to fall into the trap of comfort foods!  I've got to figure this out on my own because the NP doesn't get it.  Maybe I can educate her in a few months!

Your Protein totals look a little low for me since you are getting them mostly from food.  But then again...we each have to make decisions for ourselves....enlightened.

I know my proteins not ideal but I am almost out of my shakes. Have an order coming hopefully Monday or Tuesday! I can't wait to get back to normal next week!

haha....my sister-in law LOVED Elvis!!  Yesterday when I to Target and Walmart looking for my new acid meds I couldn't believe how many Elvis things there were.  Apparently since it was after Christmas and there were so many left over no one wanted them....LOL

I hope you feel better soon!  I would rather have the 24 hour flu than a cold.  Colds just seem to last forever and are always worse at night so you don't get any sleep for days.  Saying a Prayer for you!
