Cruzin along... need a wake up call
Hey All, Lucy here.. I have been cruzin along in my journey and was ecstatic when I hit the 150 lb mark... surpassed my Docs expectations at my 9 month check up... all my labs look great...
Then it hit me in the face.. I am looking at my 1 year surgiversary and I realize I have been bouncing around in my weight for the last 3 months... from 147 to 153.
I have been bad... not off the wagon or anything like that... just not paying attention to my intake. So yesterdays food I listed (honestly) on my fitness pal and oohhh I did not like the amounts I was seeing. I eat very small...and good stuff (high protein, low cal) but I think I eat all day long.
Here's what I found:
Calories: 1826 (yikes) Carbs: 124g (this seems really high) Fat: 71g Protein: 176g Cholest: 52mg Sodium: 1939 mg (darn peanuts) Sugars: 45g (scary) Fiber 16g
Water intake is great: at least 80 oz (sometimes more) in addition to my coffee :)
I think I could cut my two protein bars out that would drop 570 cals; 50 carbs; 60 protein; 18 Sugars and 14 fats
I could switch my salty peanuts for no salt popcorn
I could get my wobbly legs onto the treadmill again... (really been slacking on the exercise).
I feel good in my size 10 clothes... I could do with more energy (duh exercise)... I am scared of bounce back...
In conclusion... get it together Lucy.. the honeymoon is almost over...

Hi Lucy,
It is amazing when you actually list your food when you see what you are really eating. I stopped writing mine down and was amazed when I finally started back. My bounce back did not start until this year. Not sure if mine is bounce back or stopped watching what I put in my mouth!!
Good luck.
Linda
I could be in just a really long stall... I have not had one (even a short one).. so I guess this could be it... but never the less.. I need to buckle down...
Thanks Linda..

Tracking and posting is the first step! I do like the idea of cutting out the protein bars. I found they are like crack, sit like lead in my pouch and didn't do anything for me.
I don't think salt is your enemy here...
Appreciate your honeymoon period - I miss mine!!!

Honeymoon is real. If you are where you want to be, try to lose another 5-10 lbs while it is relatively easy. Get moving, it really does help. Track and post. It works!!!
