Menus and Miles Friday Dec. 27th
Hi Roz - we've missed you!
So glad to hear your Christmas was awesome! Mine was good - folks went home and my sister is at work - so quiet around here today - lol. I'm trying to decide when to head back to VA. I originally said I was going to wait until New Years, but I'm reconsidering it.
Today is a facial and a massage - ahhhh. Looking forward to it! Saw some shopping sales I need to do, and I may leave early for the massage to do that before everything is gone - and it's right on the way, so that's a good thing.
I threw together a leftover egg concoction for breakfast - it was SOOO good!
Well... I started out good....
B - leftover scrambled eggs/sausage/mushrooms/onions/spinach/cheese. I love spinach in stuff like this - I need to do that more often.
L - I did take a protein drink and drank part of it. My pouch wasn't feeling great, so I got a McD's double cheeseburger. Yes, i ate it all... but slowly.. helped for a bit. got home and took some tums
D - got home and now snacking on Lays chips - OMG - I haven't had these in ages... wish my sister didn't buy them. I walked by them twice in the store and heard them calling my name and ignored them both times... ugh!
Vits: yes
water: just coffee so far....

I think I am ALL shopped out! DH and I returned things today. He left me at the door of every store I needed to go to and then picked me up. I got a lot done and I didn't have to walk the mall or carry a bunch of bags. I also saved money because it kept me from shopping because I knew he was sitting in the car waiting for me....lol.
Your late breakfast sounds really good (except for the mushrooms). DH got me a steamer for my microwave so I need to buy some vegetables and try it out. I can't eat scrambled eggs by themselves because they always get stuck but I'm going to try and cook them with other things to see if I can get them down.
Sounds like you are doing really good Jody!

Hi Roz,
Glad you had a great holiday with your family. We have had a wonderful time with ours too! We are at my mom and dads now and having our "Christmas" supper tonight. It will be my parents, DH and I, my sister and her husband, my brother, my niece and her boyfriend. Slack crowd for us, but no one else could come this weekend. We are heading home tomorrow morning. I put all my decorations up before we left home so I get to go home to an undecorated house. It does need cleaning, but atleast it is neat looking!!

Our tree is still up and we probably won't take it down for awhile. DH and I both really enjoy it. But it was so nice to have everything else put away and the kitchen all cleaned up. I was so tired Christmas evening but I forced myself to do it and it was so nice getting up in the morning knowing I didn't have a bunch of cleaning waiting for me.
Enjoy your family dinner!!

I think it was one of the best ones yet! My new Son-in-law makes my DD so happy and that takes a lot of the stress away. Although they were 2 hours late and got us behind in everything. We all ate and then made their families breakfast when they finally showed up. I had already figured they would be late since this was their first Christmas as a family so it didn't stress me much.
Looks like you are getting back into the routine!
