Menus and Miles Tuesday Christmas Eve
It sounds like you had a fun holiday! I doubt any of us were on our best behavior this past week. The big difference is we know we can get right back into our routine instead of just giving up like before WLS.

The only tradition I have is to sleep, eat and be merry!! ;-)
Today we had a buffet at work - I focused on protein first but then I had potato chips and cake as I was feel 'unhappy' and hoped carbs would help... I am having miralax 3 times a day to help the situation (I am getting in plenty of fat, but have decided to use conventional methods to help too - BTW the carbs worked and I didn't suffer gas!!). Who'da thought that constipation would be such an issue at nearly 18 months out!!
Anyways - have yourself an awesome Christmas day tomorrow... I see turkey and parsnips in my near future!!

At 5 years out I still suffer with constipation. I just can't figure out what works for me. I've been reading bad things about Miralax and psychological problems. My daughter took our 6 yr. old DGD off of it. She was born with her rectum in the wrong place and had to have surgery and suffers all of the time with constipation. My DD puts Pear juice in her milk and that's about the only thing that works for her. I don't want those extra calories so I'm not willing to go that way. Someone told me children's fiber gummies work and they don't upset their stomachs. I'm going to try those I think.

No real traditions here. We did when the kids where little but they have all disappeared. We will go tomorrow to a friend's big family dinner. They are great to include us each year. i'm doing a mini-dinner here tonight so we will have some leftovers for the rest of the week.
It's mid afternoon and still 34 here and windy. I drove Halley and a friend came with me and led Teke around the neighborhood. Everyone was very good. I had enough layers on that I was not too cold.

Just reading your posts and looking out my sliding glass door at the snow gives me chills Price.....LOL. DH loves to be outside in the cold . Yesterday he took his golf cart out. I think he is crazy!!
That's really nice you have such good friends that include you! When my Mom passes away (which could be another 20 years...who knows) I doubt we will go to my brothers/sisters for holidays. I'm not sure what DH and I will do then. The grandkids would rather be home playing with their new toys.

Son#2 drove down Christmas Eve and went back this morning (Friday). We all had a good time with the grandbabies -- they were fighting over a doctor's kit. They took care of granddaddy and me Christmas afternoon. They loved giving us shots. : )
