Swing some Lizards or whatever you have

I know I've been missing a lot lately and know that I need to get back on here because it helps me stay in control so much, but there has been a lot going on. 

Nov. 24th my daughter, Beth, had to go back to the ER with the horrible pain in her side that she has every 6 months or year.  They always do a CT scan and it never shows anything.  The Dr told her last time he was going to take her appendix out because he feels they are the cause even though it does not show up on the CT Scan.  Well, he was out of town so they did another CT scan that night and told her she had a UT infection, gave her some medicine and told her to be sure and see her regular doctor as soon as possible to follow up.

She made an appointment and saw her doctor and he told her she had a spot on her lung and needed to have a PET scan.  Bless her heart if it can happen to anyone it happens to her.  She quit smoking in August and now this.  She had the PET scan 8 days after the CT scan and it showed the spot had grown from 9mm to 12mm and also showed 2 more spots on her left lung.  The report stated they did not feel it was malignant but could not totally exclude that.   Her doctor referred her to a lung specialist who we met with today.  He spent lots of time this morning with us and I feel like we are in good hands now.  He also said he did not feel like this was malignant because it was growing too rapidly.  He said we do have to find out what it is exactly so they will know how to treat it.  They are going to do a biopsy on the one on the back bottom side of her right lung.  None can be reached through the scope so they will have to go in through her side and deflate her lung and do the biopsy and then inflate her lung.  She will be in the hospital 2-4 days.

She has an appointment with a thorasic(?) cardio surgeon Thursday morning to schedule the biopsy.  Please pray for her and that they can find out what this is and get it treated quickly.  She also has a problem with her thyroid and is going to have an ultrasound on it January 6th.

Oh my goodness.  I will tell you that years ago my mother had a growth on her lung.  they ended up taking out part of her lung but she never had chemo or radiation and never had any more problems from it.  Hopefully you DD will have no problems after they get it figured out and treated.  I'm swinging for you and the whole family.

You got it, Linda.  They are always our little babies, aren't they?  When they hurt we hurt.
