tried the bake and bites
I LOVED the ricotta bake. So did everyone else in my family. I liked the ham and cheese bites but I think when I make it next time I'm gonna put ricotta in it also. I'm going to eat those today for breakfast and lunch. I'm hoping to be getting my protein powder today. I'm excited to try them all. I did excellent with my water intake yesterday but I'm a little concerned that all of this cheese from the bake and the bites that I'm going to be constipated :( Any suggestions on how to get things moving? I could have some fruit but that has carbs.
I talked to my nut yesterday and she says I'm about where I need to be for my weight loss BUT she said I'm eating way to many calories. I'm at 1000 right now and she wants me between 600 and 800. She said it should be closer to 600. she also said I only need around 60 grams of protein and I'm getting double that. I'm going to drop my calories to around 700 today and my protein to about 90 grams. I hope this helps my weight loss, not that this past two weeks I have been disappointed with it. Since my stall I've been loosing about two pounds a week.
I hope I can go back down to 700 calories without having many problems. It will be easier with the bites because there aren't a lot of calories in them but I will still need to supplement with some protein powder to keep my protein grams up. She said it's fine for me to do the shakes so they are going to stay for awhile. I'm just worried because I"m used to eating so often and now I have to cut back. I stocked up on water. I have several bottles in my fridge waiting for me to drink them up. I just started on my first bottle. I have to get it in the best I can. I'm gonna try spacing the water out more than I have been because for the most part I was done drinking my 9-10 glasses by6 or 7 in the evening.
I see my surgeon on the 19th and this time I can't cancel because my mom and fiance have their appointments that day. They won't cancel because this is their first appointment with the surgeon. They are three months into their preop diet and have started having some of their pre op testing done. They each had their ekg, and they had their breathing test. So that is all good. I can't wait till they get their surgeries. They are both excited too. neither of them are nervous. They are better than me cuz I cried as the wheeled me to the operating room. I'm nervous about seeing my surgeon because I haven't been to see anyone since my surgery and I have never met this surgeon before. He is my surgeons replacement. UGH. I also worry that they are going to say that I haven't lost enough since surgery. UGH UGH!!!!
Ok well thats my update.

We lovingly call Nuts, Nuts for a reason. Sometimes they have all the book learning in the world but not much real experience. So drop your calories a little but don't drop your protein much. Remember that you were not losing when your protein was lower. Some Nuts and Drs are totally against protein drinks after the first 6 months. But many of us need them even with having a protein food based diet to keep our levels up. Have you had labs done since surgery? I would definately ask about that. It is time to see if you are getting low on anything. Easier to correct now that pull a level up from the gutter.
I do benefiber daily even with all the green fiborous veggies I eat. Keeps me going.

Thanks... I just feel like i haven't been doing right by my sleeve since i had surgery I have been loosing slowly and had many stalls. I really want to do this right. I don't know if the nut is right or if she is just a nut LOL I want to see what the doctor says next week but that gives me a week to see if my weight loss continues or slows down. If it slows or stops I will up my calories again. I have about 90 grams of protein for today and 750 calories but I have to do the shakes to get in my protein. I'm simply not eating enough to get the protein I need. Even eating nothing but protein. It's just not enough. I forsee me sticking to shakes for the long haul to supplement cuz even doing 1000 calories I needed shakes to reach my protein. So DEFINITELY while my calories are low I will need the shakes. I don't mind them at all. I haven't done ANY labs since surgery so I have NOOOOO Idea what my labs are. I will get my blood work done on the 19th. Hopefully everything is ok. I eat only protein with the exception of a few fruits or veggies a week. I'm gonna try the benefiber cuz sometimes I am just not going.
