No walks for this girl
This week the highest temp all week is 32 before the windchill so I won't be doing any more walking this week. I think I'm going to try to get in a second time with one of my exercise video's to make up the calories. I made it an additional minuite yesterday when I did it. So I'm working my way up on the video a minute at a time. First day was nine min. second day was 11 yesterday was 12 YAY. it' kills my legs but I'm doing ok so far. I don't feel like doing the videos when I start them but I make myself and when I'm done I feel like I accomplished something. It's just not the same as being in a gym walking on the treadmill. I would rather be doing that or walk/jogging outside. When it warms up I will definitely start doing that because I need different scenery when I'm exercising. Maybe if I put some music on while I'm doing the video it would be better. I think I'll try that today. I would like to get a yoga dvd cuz I really enjoy yoga. I'm not real big on zumba. I really do like kick boxing and I love billy blanks but I'm just having a hard time doing it cuz I'm getting bored. If anyone has a suggestion for a video that has music that isn't boring and maybe is kick boxing or boxing type things in it let me know please cuz that's what I need. I am almost tempted to go back to the old fashioned sweating to the oldies LOL. At least that has some music. It just isn't very challenging for me. IDK I just need to find some variety. I will try playing music when I do the video today and I'll let you guys know how it goes. Have a wonderful day everyone. Stay happy stay healthy.
I'm getting ready to head out to walk and it is 22. At least it isn't raining. DH has bad lungs and he can't walk when it is cold either so I understand.
I understand about the music. I think part of my love of my muscle pump class is that we use really loud, pounding music with a great beat to work to. It really helps. I've thought about music for my walks but I am afraid I wouldn't hear the traffic. We don't have much but we also don't have sidewalks out here in the country.
Have you looked at the library for exercise tapes? They may have some you can borrow then return so you don't get bored.
