THURSDAY GRATEFUL POST

 

Good Pre-Friday Everyone,

We all have so very much to be grateful for everyday of our lives.    We should all be so very grateful when we open our eyes to this beautiful world that the good Lord has given us.    Today I am grateful for the Christmas season.   This is my favorite time of the year.   I absolutely love Thanksgiving and especially Christmas.   So grateful for my 16 yr. old granddaughter who decided she was calling me Meme.   Grateful for my 3 sons and daughter in law and especially for my husband of almost 37 yrs.    I am also most grateful for my WLS which not only changed my life over 8 yrs ago but also gave me the life that was only a dream for today.   Grateful for Obesity Help, all the message boards, the people on here giving advice to others and especially the staff of OH who work very hard behind the scenes and rarely are acknowledged.    Just plain ole grateful for everything and everyone today.    Have a super blessed day and PLEASE share if you will what you are grateful for today.

Meme?  As in a name with which to address you?

As ever I say TGINF!! :-D

 

LOL I guess it is Huneypie.   Tigerlily everytime I would say come to Grandma...she would say Meme.    I asked her what is MY name and she said Meme.   SO I guess that is what she is going to call me instead of Grandma.   Here in the USA you would not BELIEVE all the names kids call their grandparents.   LOL  It's funny....but I told my son and DIL when she was born that she would decide what she was going to call me.   I guess SHE decided on Meme.   LOL   Have a blessed day sweet friend and try to stay warm.    I'm sure it is probably cold in the UK too as it is here.   Have a blessed day !!!

We're getting about ~46 degrees F which is pretty warm for this time of year.  I do love to snuggle in my electric blankets though as I do love my creature comforts. ;-)

I called my grandmother Nene and her twin sister Meme.  My best friends granddaughter calls her Lala.

It's really cute how at 16 months old she can decide what to call someone.    I have always called myself grandma to her and on Thanksgiving Day she started calling me Meme.    Then when she saw me yesterday she ran to me saying Meme.   I asked her what my name was and she said Meme.   I said aren't I grandma and she said No....Meme.   SO I guess from now on I will be Meme.   LOL   She is my only grandchild and probably will be for a while since my oldest son is the only one married.    Have  a blessed day Price.

You said 16 year old in your first post... I did wonder what she called you for the first 15 years ;-)

LOL That doesn't surprise me Huneypie.   I do these posts before I have my coffee down.    You know your brain doesn't kick in till the coffee is in the body.   LOL   I'm sure I was thinking months but my fingers typed years.   LOL  Gad you caught that and told me I did that.   My eyes are getting bad too and sometimes when I re-read things before I submit them.....I miss mistakes.     It's the pits getting old and especially when your eyesight starts going.  LOL

Ha ha, we all do it.  My smart phone is particularly evil and changes some words to completely non-sensical ones and I don't always notice it's done that... then there's the finger trouble we all suffer from which I'm as guilty of as the next person ;-)

So very true my friend.   LOL    Even though I am old enough to have a grandchild in my 20's.    She is only 16 MONTHS old.    LOL  That's OK....I look forward to having more in the future.
