Hi Roz!!!
i live in the Poconos.
My diet is kind of crappy now because I had problems with meats and protein in general at the beginning. My surgeon did not want me to use protein shakes so I got protein in however I could. I can eat cheese and fish now with no problem, so I will add that in small increments. I use nuts, yogurt and peanut butter as protein and find them sooooo addictive! I would like to add other protein sources but am hesitant to get sick again. In order to get the 60g in daily, I find myself eating all the time when I am not drinking. My surgeon does not have a bariatric dietician with his practice, so I am getting my ideas on what to eat from OH. I feel the higher fat content in my protein choices is probably the reason for my stall.
Thanks for your help.
I'll chime in here.
I think you could be right about the fats. Also, all the foods you listed are high in carbs... except for the fish.
Early out you really need protein. I was a religious protein shake drinker and do feel it was the foundation of my success. Often when folks get into a stall, we'll recommend adding another protein shake to their menu.

Hi Roz
Shopping - ugh! I haven't started mine. I'm going to give my daughter money for a swingset for the girls and get them each a few things to open. Already have Wynn done and need to find a few things for Vivi. My sister is done, but nothing for the kids. We do a gift exchange with the family and that makes it easier, but still have to buy for the immediate family members. Oh, and my son-in-law's folks. I really wish they hadn't started buy gifts for us.
B - coffee and a 1 1/2 scoop protein coffee (yea me!)
L - a few pistachios and a Quest protein bar (not crazy about it - bought the apple pie and thought I was buying a combo box). Sits heavy....
D - taco casserole
Vits: yup
Water: did ok

They are going to LOVE the swing set!!! It was soooooo cold yesterday and DH had the 2 oldest grandson's the 1 1/2 yr. old was banging on the door wanting to go out and swing. DH was practically out of his mind by the time their dad picked them up. Our swing set and trampoline got smashed in one of the last storms we had so we had to rush out and buy another swing set. I asked the insurance company if we could buy 2 swing sets instead of the trampoline (they never used it) and they said that was fine as long as it cost the same. We got a deal on a bigger set (time of year) and saved it for when the boys moved into their new house. DD said she can't keep them off of it. We bought him a Disney car swing and took down something else but he has out grown that now.
Yeah You!!!!!! Just the words apple pie would scare me off....LOL
Taco casserole sounds yummy!

3 Pages!!!! It must be because of the holidays. I think we all have the sense of starting that New Years diet.
Do you buy fresh salmon? I love to have Salmon cakes made up in the freezer. I'm not allowed canned food so I am going to have to check out the frozen section I think.
Sounds Good!
