question about matrix

I just ordered, mint chocolate, banana, and orange cream... I'm wondering.. can I mix these with water or should I use milk? how do you guys mix it? I think I'm going to try the mint chocolate in coffee but the banana and orange cream I can't imagine would be good in coffee. I am almost 7 months out and have not ventured out to try different flavors of protein, I have literally only had vanilla and chocolate. So i wanted to try something new and matrix has soooo many that sound good, Before I knew it I had a 220 dollar order on amazon so I cut it down to these three, Are there any other ones that you guys find particularly yummy? I was thinking about the fuzzy navel but not sure. So how do you guys mix your protein and what other options are out there that are tastey and not blah. Oh I don't like the cookies and cream.. seems to sweet with artificial sweetner. I can't handle it.

I always use 1/2 & 1/2 or heavy whipping cream and a little water. Heavy whipping cream is the lowest in carbs. How many carbs are in the Matrix powders? If they already have significant carbs from milk based ingredients, perhaps water or Crystal Lite would be a good liquid to use as the base.

I can not stand crystal light so water it is lol. though the half and half sounds good with the banana and the orange cream. I just don't want a ton of calories per drink. Has anyone tried mixing it and cooking with it?

I used Matrix chocolate, vanilla and mint cookie. I put all in decaf, hot chocolate and make shakes with the blender and jus****er.  Remember gina has a DS and doesn't absorb fat so she can get away with the half and half.

I also use the Syntrax Lemon Tea and Carribean cooler.  Those I mix with water and a tube of crystal light and 1/2 scoop of protein in 20 oz.  You could do no crystal light and a full scoop of protein.  I've tried the fuzzy navel and it is pretty good, more orange juice taste than peach.  I'm not big on banana anything or orange cream and haven't tried those but I certainly wouldn't put them in coffee.  devil

Although Matrix is expensive, you save some by using the 5lb bags instead of 2 once you find what you like.  You can also order samples from Syntrax or Vitalady so you can taste stuff before making a big money outlay.

I think everyone should get away from counting calories so much and reduce carbs. Fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do. ;)

I agree, within limits.  Once you have cut the carbs, I do think you still have to have a reasonable thought about calories and then you need to kind of think about fats.  I'm definately not one of the NO FATS folks.  I have butter, olive oil, full fat cheese, mayo, ect but when I have had heavy cream around for cooking or even half and half, I can see a difference.  When you can only eat 1300 low carb calories without gaining, at some point you have to look at fats just because they are the most calorie dense food we eat.

I love my Mint Cookie!!  I only mix mine in water and then add crushed ice. I have put it in my hot chocolate during the winter.  I order my Protein from AllStarHealth.com.  Cheaper than Amazon.

They were designed to be made with water so I make them with water. Well, water and ice.
