Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooo glad it's Friday!!! Do you have big plans??? We have a competition on Saturday and Sunday. We have to leave early in the morning so if I don't start M&M please feel free to start it for me.
I didn't drink my Lemon Tea before bed last and I slept sooooo good my DH called to see if my alarm went off. I never heard his alarm or him getting up for work. I was reading last night about IC and it said to really watch what I eat/drink at night because your bladder doesn't get washed out like it does during the day. Remember the last procedure the Urologist did that made me pass out and have to go to the hospital....well, he said he heard about the procedure through the Cleveland Clinic. I read about it last night and apparently he must have forgotten one important detail. The article said to hold the liquid in your bladder for 15 minutes and then release it. He forgot the releasing part!!!!!! When my DD took me to his office the first thing he asked me was if I went to the bathroom yet. About 5 minutes after I went to the bathroom the numbness and shaking started to ease up. It also said you should have it done once a week for several weeks. I go back on the 16th so I am going to discuss this with him. I think I will copy it and take it with me.

Good sleep makes everything better. I would hate for you to have to give up your lemon tea but it sure would be good to not be hurting all the time.
I walked with Thor this morning. It drizzled some but I never really got wet. Been working since then but I have to run some errands soon, then more work. The ponies get the day off.

Sounds like you're starting to get somewhere in figuring out what's causing your problems and taking stuff with you to show the doc is a good plan as self-advocating is so important.
Today I was silly as I relied on the lunch cart at work and they ran out of chicken salad so I ended up with a cheese jacket potato (at least that's not a weapon of mass destruction for me). Anyways, my emergency protein bar rescued me.
DH is out tonight at his work Christmas 'do', so I saved my ready meal to have in the evening as cooking for one sucks (it only sucks marginally less for 2, but I know I just wouldn't get round to it on my own).

I hope you are on to something Roz. Maybe you can e-mail a copy of the article before your visit? This way the Doc can do his own investigation and maybe you'll get quicker results. This way of self advocating has been fantastic for my DH who suffers from a chronic illness. His Doc seems to appreciate the heads up and then has time to thoughtfully review the information at a time that suits her.
Still battling head hunger - but I think you may be on to something about my Whey protein intake. I've been off my regular schedule and then trying to get in my protein via food - not shakes. But that isn't really working out for me - in the head hunger department or the loosing department! So tomorrow (my day is done) I am going to get back to my routine or try my best as it's the weekend and usually all bet are off with routines around my house :)
