TGIF!
Good morning LW's,
It's cold and a little icy here this morning. I hope all of you are safe and warm where this crazy winter storm is rolling through.
My head is still stuffy but not as bad as yesterday.
I cant believe how fast this week went! Time really seems to be moving faster the older I get!
Might be having lunch with my sister today, I am really not looking forward to it. She has been so negative lately and everything is always about her, I am finding I dont have the energy or the desire to deal with her some days. I hate to admit that out loud, so to speak, but she is just draining. I love her so much, but she can be a little overwhelming lately.
On the other hand looking forward to curves today and tonight a yoga workshop. No big plans for the weekend here, I hope I can get my tree up soon. The hubby has been too busy to get up in the attic to get the Christmas stuff down.
Dinner??? Thinking maybe tacos. The hubby doesnt really like them though, but the boys do. Decisions, decisions.
What are you up too?
Make sure you take some time to take care of yourself and enjoy the day!
~Maria

Just got in from a walk with Thor. Wasn't going to walk because of the rain but caught a clear spot and did. I'm always happy I did once I get out there, rain or cold. It is just moving to get going that is hard.
It is very warm here, unseasonably in the 60s even this early. Temps drop again this weekend but I have been trying to take advantage of it while it is ok.
I think I am making a meatloaf for supper. Everyone loves it and I like having the leftovers. We pulled the rest of the kale from the garden yesterday and I am going to miss going out each morning for my kale for breakfast. I saved some so I am good for a week or so.
Hopefully your lunch with your sister will go ok. I know I don't have any energy for drama and negative thoughts anymore. I try very hard to avoid those folks but it is difficult when it is your sister. Just try to sympathize but not take on her burdens. None of us need more than we have!!!
And because I have been playing when the weather is nice, work is piling up. Got to get to it today while it is raining. At least rainy days make me get work done.

I buy plants and just get whatever the garden store has. I've done flat and curly and both seem to do fine. This was kale that I planted last spring and it has been going strong all summer and fall. Kale from the store can taste pretty bitter but I have never had my garden kale seem bitter. Maybe because it is eaten right out of the garden.

Hi Maria
Driving back to MI tomorrow from VA - hope the roads clear up. It looks like Sat is my best day. Just rain here but see ice/snow on the route back. If I stay another day another storm system moves in here and I'll be stuck for a few more days.
Sorry to hear about your sister, but see she cancelled. When my sister was in "negative mode" I tended to just stay away... That lasted a few years...
I probably won't eat dinner. I had some wings/milk for lunch and it didn't agree with me (not surprised, I knew that would happen). So a few triscuits and I'll be good. Probably will blow me up again though...
Worked from home today and wouldn't you know it, I had my BEST hair day all week? LOL... now I want to go somewhere, but not really.
