I've been low carbing all week and drinking plain water. I weighed in at 119 this morning and that's -3 pounds from last week. Plain water is making the difference, I think.

Up 2.2 lbs since last week. Hell, since yesterday! WTF is going on. I haven't made any changes to the way I've been eating for the last 2+ years. Could bounce back happen at nearly 3 1/2 years out? On one hand I am happy and feel more normal. People are telling me I look good and my face even looks like it is filling out more but on the other hand-Eek, I'm gaining weight. Up about 10 lbs from my lowest and about 5 from where I have stayed for over 2 years. Not a whole lot when I put it in perspective but still a scary place to be.
The only other times I remember watching my weight go up, as opposed to ignoring it and avoiding the scale, is when I was pregnant. There is a part of me that wants to put the scale away and avoid this as well. As I have said, if it weren't for the scale, and some positive comments, I wouldn't even know I had gained because my clothes are fitting fine. I guess I just need some encouragement to talk me down from the ledge. I hate this whole maintenance thing. Do I eat less? More? Track my food? All these things go through my head. I honestly don't feel like I am out of control with my food. I haven't added any "bad" things back. Maybe bigger portions? Could be but I still have days were I can hardly eat a bite and other days where I could eat everything, just like always. I guess I'm just going to continue to stand back and watch where this goes. As I've said, I'm not at my trigger point, which I am still working on. What is the point between too thin and too much weight. Like Goldilocks, I want it to be just right, not too big and not too small. My clothes can help tell me and if I need to buy bigger things it won't break me at the thrift store. How on earth do you manage all the mind games of maintenance?

I'm sorry the scale is being such a BUTT!
Yes, bounce back can happen that far out...while it's typical to be around the 2 - 2 1/2 year mark doesn't mean it can't happen later.
Maybe tracking your food for a week or so just to see IF there is anything that stands out. Then again, your body may finally have adapted to the RNY configuration and started absorbing more food. Being a revision may have kept you from doing that longer than is typical for a RNY'er.
You know where your "breaking" point is...I hope you stay under it.

Not bad at all for maint...and yes, an increase like that is not unheard of for a day or two...that much is water weight.
