Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
I've been up since 6:00 working on my Thanksgiving grocery list. It's three pages long! I checked out all of the ads, cut out all my coupons and I'm going to Walmart and compare shopping prices. I'm probably foolish for doing it on such a large order but I do stupid things sometimes....LOL.
I haven't had time to post on yesterdays M&M but I didn't forget you! After I get this shopping trip done the rest will be a breeze.

I'm exhausted just thinking about Walmart on a Saturday morning the week before a major holiday. Roz you are just plain brave!
Tonight we are celebrating Thanksgiving with a group of American families. We have been doing this for 9 years now and it has become an important part of our family tradition. I am really looking forward to it as I feel especially thankful this year! :) I am bringing the stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a veggie platter for 29! I am not eating any of it and frankly I am a bit nervous about seeing some of the folks as they haven't seen me since surgery. I hope we can get past the Wow factor and not dwell too much on my weightloss and new eating habits. Wish me luck!

Been drinking tons of water all day. No miles - but been on my feet all day cooking! All vitamins done.
I'm so glad I get my groceries delivered - I really don't miss going to the stores and fighting the crowds.
My puff pastry chicken pie was fun - I wasn't intending to eat the pastry and this is the first time I've ever cooked puff pastry... well I didn't leave enough space from the top of the oven for it to rise without it burning he he!! ;-) DH was sitting in the room and I can't believe he couldn't smell the burning. I walked in and the oven had had the pie in it for about 20 minutes. BTW it was a pre-made one as I'm so not a chef!!.

Hi guys,
Sixth day of the low carb challenge I got the munchies yesterday but things worked well regardless. It must be all the plain water I'm drinking. I never realized what a big deal that was. I totally messed up today--grilled cheese sandwich. : (

Hi Roz,
Hope your shopping went good. I made my list yesterday and went last night. I'm not much on coupons-I know I should.. Of course today I realized about 3 things I had forgotten and will have to go to the store next week.
I did a lot of my cooking today. I've never done this before so I hope it works out ok. I cooked my ham and sliced it as best I could it was falling apart, but oh so good. I cooked my cornbread and my chicken thighs pulled it off the bones and froze all of it. I have never froze things ahead of time so I hope it works out. I just needed to get a head start on Thursday.
