Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

Good Morning!!!   You all probably think my life is just one drama after another.  Well you aren't the only one.  I'm worn out and ready for my life to get back to "normal".  Physically I am feeling much better.  I haven't had much cramping probably because I have been watching what I eat.  When you take away my Wendy's Chili, beef jerky, beef bites etc. you take away all of my go to foods.  It was hard eating at the competition without these foods.  We always stop on the way there and grab snacks (the food is super expensive and nothing but carbs at the comps).  I walked out with nothing.  I will be more prepared the next away comp. I am...I have to figure this out.

I got a call that my Mom (81) was on the floor just as we were leaving work on Friday.  We took her by ambulance to the hospital.  Nothing showed up but a Urinary Tract Infection. My sister/brother told me to go to the comp and they would watch over her. The next day she fell and hit her head at the grocery store.  She was admitted this time. Dehydrated, erratic heartbeat, and confused.  We left the comp as soon as all of my DD teams performed skipping the awards.  Mom was angry, mean, and disowning us all.  I felt so bad for my sister.  She never told me any of this and I wasn't prepared.  She insisted on staying at the hospital one more night so tonight it's my turn.  I'm so afraid she might not be able to return to her apartment.

goodness, Roz.  I was thinking you were up early on a high from the competition, not because of your mom.  I'll keep you all in my prayers today.  I hope you have plans already in case she can't go back to living by herself.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, kale, cheese
hamburger patty, squash
lemon tea protein  13g
1/2 burger patty, cheese stick
lemon tea protein  13g
white chicken chili
protein shake  33g

I ran out of chocolate protein and bought some pure protein from walmart.  It taste ok but is higher in calories and carbs than Matrix.  I really only use it for hot chocolate and my shake at night but that adds up.  Plus I use powdered milk in my hot chocolate.  This may make Gina's low carb week a challenge for sure.

HI Roz - so sorry to hear about your Mom.  I was just talking to my friend yesterday about what my sister and I would do if our folks couldn't live alone.  My Mom is the sole caretaker of my dad who has advanced Parkinsons and very limited mobility.  It's heartbreaking to watch. It's so hard on her.   My prayers are with you and your family.

Food - I have NO idea... well, maybe dinner.  I did take some steak out of the freezer.  I didn't plan for today. and don't want to go to the grocery store as I'll probably be going to MI this weekend.

B - so far, 3 cups of coffee

L - probably a chicken salad

D - small 6 oz ribeye, grilled peppers

Vits:  oops.. I'll get them later

water:  I'll be low - I didn't plan well today.

I committed carbicide today!!  I was constipated so I decided needs must and few hours later the carbs had the desired effect.  Hopefully I won't go too far in the other direction... I'll probably find out at 2am which is normally the way!! :-S

Oh Roz, I am sorry about all your troubles.  When older folks get UTI's they quite often get confused. So hopefully once your Mom's infection clears up she will be mentally clearer. Sometimes when they are confused it comes across as angry,

Sometimes confusion is the first sign of  urinary infection
