I see a lot of bypass and ds patients here and was wondering if there are any vsg's? I just want to know their experience with their weight loss. I'm still struggling but THINK i've passed my stall FINALLY!!! I won't verify that for another day or two. Gotta see the scale go down another pound before I believe I'm through the stall.

Did you have stalls like I am having? This is crazy. I thought I broke the stall but now I'm not so sure. I just want to start loosing again. How long did it take yu to get to goal? At six months i was hoping to be at 160 at least by christmas but I'm still 179 ish and Don't see me loosing 19 lbs in a month. :( I have been so frustrated and I just want to know other peoples experiences.

I didn't have any major stalls although i don't weigh myself a lot.  It took me 6 mos to get to my surgeons goal.

I had surgery in May and my six months was up on the 13th, I'm still 27 lbs from his goal and 42 lbs from my goal. I'm hoping that by my I year I am at the minimum, my surgeons goal. That seems more realistic to me since I keep stalling. My wish however is to be at MY goal by a year out. 42 lbs just seems so far away!!! and in six months? after taking six months to loose only 54.6 lbs?? Doesn't seem possible.

I say just go for your goal and if you can do it in a year great, if not you will get there.  I know I have slowed down and although I am below my surgeons goal I have adjusted my goal and want to lose another 10lbs.  To me at this point it sounds like a lot but I am not in a huge hurry although I do worry about the "honeymoon" period.  I also see myself slipping and not being nearly as diligent as I was at the beginning which scares me.  I know I need to log my food and plan ahead, those are two big things.  Good luck in your journey!

I have a VSG. I am 14 months out and at my goal weight. I do watch my carbs, if I eat to many, the pounds try to creep back on.

I am four months out with the VSG. I lose slowly but I am losing. I drink 100+ ounces of water and 80-90 grams protein with under 30 grams of carbs daily. So I am learning patience during this process. Love my sleeve.

I had my VSG  in January,  I have lost 114 pounds.  I am 10 pounds below my nutritionists goal and 5 pounds below my original goal.  i would like to lose about 5 more pounds to get to the top of my BMi.   just hang in there an stick to your plan and you will get there!
