COULD IT BE??

Wellll I weighed myself this morning as I always do and I have gone back to my original true weigh in pre stall. I am hoping this is a trend meaning I am finally going to start loosing weight. I realized yesterday when going through my different apps for my weight loss and I have basically been stalled since October 2, 2013. How frustrating. On October 2, I weighed in at 181, about two weeks later I had gone down to 179. Ever since then I have bounced back and forth between 181 and 183!!!!! Today, November 15, I weighed in at 179.8. The true weigh in back in October was 179 even so I'm still 8 oz above my true weigh in, but this is the first time I've been below 180 since I weighed in at 179. I am truly truly waiting to see if this is a trend that I am going to continue to loose. I will see tomorrow to see if I'm holding steady or loosing weight. Fingers are crossed. I hope to see a few pounds lost if this stall has broken. It's been such a long stall that I am hoping for a big loss at the end of the tunnel. I think its strange that after raising my calories to around ONE THOUSAND CALORIES a day and the scale wants to move. I am not, of course, going to keep my calories at 1000 but if it's working for now I'm going to stick to it for a little while. Probably until my weight settles then back to 750-800 Calories. If I stall AGAIN, I guess I'll raise the calories back up to a thousand and stick to that. I am just terrified of having so many calories. I feel like I should be closer to 650 calories a day but I couldn't seem to get in my protein at that many calories. At 650 I can get in around 70 grams of protein in a day, at 1000 I can get in around 100. It's a game of give and take. I don't care about chewing and am happy doing the shakes. I use them for the bulk of my protein and eat normal foods for the rest of them. If I am only eating two meals I'm not real worried about any carbs because the doctor told me that as long as I'm getting in my protein not to worry about the carbs. I know that is against what EVERYONE here says but in two meals with protein how many carbs can I really be getting? When I was trying to EAT my protein I was getting around 60 grams of protein and about 45 grams of carbs. I just wasn't getting enough protein so I changed to the shakes. I can't believe I don't really care about whether my calories and protein come in the form of liquid or food. I don't really get hungry per se but when I am emotionally "hungry" I feel hunger pains. Other than that ( usually stress )  I don't feel anything. That makes me happy and I hope it continues. I do worry because I have been pushing to what I can handle instead of what I should be eating. I guess that is a big no no. My plan now is to focus on that 100 grams of protein. That was another thing the doc said. GET IN THE PROTEIN regardless of what the calorie total is. I probably should avoid myfitnesspal but I don't. Any way thats the plan and hopefully it's working. I will know in the next couple days. When I break a stall I usually don't drop all the weight over night but over a few days. I'm hoping to see the scale drop more tomorrow. I'm getting so frustrated. I need a break in this stall. I mean I'm used to stalling. I literally stall every other week. I stall then loose then stall then loose but now I've been stalled so long I don't  know if I'm ever going to loose again. Here's to hoping.

Good luck!  Add another shake and keep carbs below 25 net carbs a day. The further out you get the harder it is to get the metabolism burning. Hang in there.

up protein, down carbs.  then just keep on keeping on.  Find a routine that works for you.  Move your body.  That will help your stress and your loss.  You can do this.

Wow you sound just like me!!  I play with the same 2-3 lbs for 10 days to 2 weeks then maybe drop 1-11/2 lbs....it is painful!!  I still have a ways to go!!  *I am 5 months out and didn't think it would slow down this much already.  You're right  FRUSTRATING!!  ANy ways..forward we go...I was hoping to be at goal by Christmas...guess that is a dream!  But I am so much better off than last Christmas so that is what I will focus on.  I just this week started PT for my back...3x's a week for 8 weeks...all core and back workouts.....then I do zumba 2x's a week...something should start moving!!  Stay tuned!!  Best of luck to you ...hopefully we can bust this together!!

Thanks, It is very helpful to know that I'm not the only one going through this. My biggest fear every time it happens is that this is it I'm done loosing. That is terrifying to me!!!! Good luck on your working out. I have such a hard time with zumba.. I'm just not coordinated LOL. I was hoping to be at goal by christmas too, but that's impossible now. It's not going to happen in a month. I didn't loose that much in a month when I first had the surgery I'm pretty sure i'm not going to start now.

Well I am not real coordinated either but I figure as long as I am moving I am burning!  It's a small class and the age range is wide ...so I can get away w being a clod!  I. Is toy just want to nudge the scale and get toned ....  I have a ways to go and I guess I hafta be okay with that and keep doing what I am doing ...  You too!  We should stay in touch!

I sent you a private message. I wanna stay in touch too. Did you see I have FINALLY broken my stall??? I'm down 55 lbs now :D thank god. Well technically its 54.4 lbs but I like to look at it as 55 LOL. I hope the next couple days I continue to loose. I need a HUGE loss after such a long stall. It would make me feel so much better about the stall. I know it's about the long haul and that stalls are natural but when I am in one, especially when it's one that has lasted so long I feel alone. I feel like this is it, I"m not going to loose any longer.

This is for the rest of your life.  When you reach goal isn't as important as the skills we gain that will help us stay at goal when we get there.

Make sure you are also paying attention to other things besides the scale. Measuring the inches lost is a great way to track.

Also make a list of all the things that have improved, like your indurance. Can you paint your toes without struggling? (this was a big one for me!)

This is a journey, I had spots where I slowed down. Now in maintenance its a daily practice to keep my weight on track. If you follow your plan and move your body, you will get there. How soon, well everyone is different.
