Six MOnths Out WITH PAIN

I don't know whats going on but for the last 24 hrs I am having severe pain in my lower belly. I really don't know whats going on but it was so bad last night that it woke me up!!!! I couldn't stand straight I was hunched over in pain. I thought maybe I had to go to the bathroom or something but no relief. It doesn't last real long but man when it happens it really hurts. I do not have a fever or anything Just pain. ANY ONE have any idea what might be going on? I don't want to look like an idiot going the whole way into Pittsburgh to get checked out at the bariatric center when it's nothing but if something DOES happen or something IS wrong due to my surgery I don't want to end up in the local hospital. They are known for their screw ups and are not educated in weight loss surgery patients AT ALL!!!!! I guess I will see how today goes but GEEZE this is terrible

gas will give me pretty awful pains.  Are you constapated?  I do benefiber daily but if you need more immediate relief, MOM is what most Drs say is safe for us.

I do Miralax every day and have for the past 8 yrs.   If I don't....not sure BM's would happen.    Seriously now....if the pain continues you may need to go to the doc and see if possibly you may have a intestional hernia.   I had one 3 yrs. ago and I thought it was gas pains ( I have horrible gas pains at time ).   After taking 4 Gas X tablets and no relief and then later on I started vomiting I went to the ER.   I believe they did a CT scan that showed the hernia.    I have RNY so not sure if VSG patients can get intestional hernia's or not but I'm sure anything IS possible.    BTW....my hernia did NOT poke out.   So there was NO way by feeling that I had one but the pain hurt alot.    If it happens again please don't let it go...get it checked out.   Hope your feeling better.

Because of if being in your lower belly I'm with the others that it is a good chance it is gas. I've had it double me over a few times.

unfortunately,artificial sweeteners,especially sugar alcohols,do this to some VSG ers. They did it to  even before my DS. 

Ionce made some flour less cookies with truvia,and I had terrible gas pains for two days,passing very little gas in the beginning and once it. All worked its way Through my intestines,some seriously explosive gas. Only then, did I get any relief. I have decided to stay away from sugar alcohols,because that was painful enough to really get my attention.

I don't know if it's gas... gas x doesn't work for me, never has even straight out of surgery. I don't want to take fiber in case it IS gas I don't want any more cramping :( I don't really know about the going to the bathroom thing cuz I go every couple days but that is nothing unusual for me either. So I don't know what's going on but I'm finding that It the worst of mypain has come at night or the wee hours of the morning. It makes me sick it hurts so much. Thank you all for your well wishes. When I find out what's going on I will update you. For now, I'm just dealing with it and hoping it doesn't hit bad while I'm at work.
