I do the same thing.  My personal rule is at least two 16 oz bottles of water between meals.  Otherwise I probably wouldn't get all my fluids in and my fluid goal for the day has always been 100 oz.

 I've had 56 oz of water so far today.  I just poured myself 20 more oz of water. I changed from chicken to steak wrapped in bacon. It has a lot more protein. It has a lot more calories but it's worth it for the protein. I hit 100 + grams of protein today. Or I will once I drink my final shake this evening. Which will be an additional 16 oz of water. That is more than I've had in any given day since I've had the surgery. I'm usually pretty good in the morning and while at work but come evening I just dont want anything to drink. I'm making myself today. My calories are around 1000 calories today but I'm not stressing it because I reached my protein goals.

Tomorrow I have my meals planned

Breakfast: scoop and half protein its 45 grams protein and about 255 calories

Lunch: Bumble Bee chicken salad its 9 grams of protein 220 calories

Dinner: Same steak with bacon its 260 calories and 24 grams of protein YUM!!!

Snack: 1 scoop of protein its 30 grams protein and 170 calories.

Thats 108 grams of protein tomorrow, 32 oz of liquid just in protein shakes, I drink 40 oz of water at work,  That puts me up to 72 oz of water. ( I use water in my shakes ) Then I will try to get in at minimum 20 oz of water in after dinner tomorrow before my shake.  

That is 905 calories tomorrow. I am really trying to stick to plan. I have to prepare for temptation but that is soooo difficult at work. Hopefully the extra water will help me start going back to the bathroom. UGH. I don't Know what has happened, I used to LOVE water. I would easily drink a gallon a day and now I just can't do it after 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I'm forcing myself right now. Not that it tastes bad because it doesn't but I just don't want it. Idk. anyway thats the PLAN for today. Hopefully I stick to it.

I also use my liquids to help tame my cravings/hunger.  I am a little farther out than you and do experience some hunger.  I try to drink 4 cups of fluid in am, 4 in afternoon, 4 during my morning workout and if i am not floating away 2 cups after dinner.  it really helps me if when I start feeling hungry to drink some fluids, it takes my mind of eating fills my tummy and usually the 'hunger" goes away.    Have you thought about replacing some of your protein drinks with lean rotein, like chicken?  maybe the protein drinks aren't filling you up enough Maybe you would feel more satisfied if you were chewing something..I did well with six small protein based meals at scheduled times. I gave up the protein shakes pretty early and was still able to exceed my protein goals.  If you are not loving plain water  maybe try crystal light or something decaf.  i drink alot of decaf coffee and tea.

Dont beat yourself up. You sound like you have a plan in place. This is a journey and no one is perfect.

You are doing great.

Are you still taking anything for acid? Maybe that is causing some of that gnawing feeling, especially with all the stress you are under. Just a thought.

Yes, I'm still on prilosec. I love that stuff. It works wonderful. I take it every day with the rest of  my meds. I am still taking multivitamin and calcium as well as b12 and folic acid. I managed all of my liquids yesterday. I'm taking some crystal light with me to work. Hopefully that helps me get some extra water in before breakfast and lunch at work. They also provide a snack... gonna try drinking 20 oz  of water between lunch and snack. Closer to snack. The three meals at work as well as the three meals at home are making me crazy. I started bringing in my bumble bee chicken salad and eat THAT with the kids while they eat lunch. The kids have lots of questions as to why I don't eat what they eat. I simply tell them that I have a special stomach and I need special food. They are accepting that for now. I still sit with them when they eat but I am going to ahve to work on not eating ANY of what they have while we eat lunch cuz I stuff myself by eating my  meal plus what they have.

There are lots of small inexpensive kitchen  timers you can buy to use when you can't use your phone. Get a quiet one for the office though.
