Menus and Miles Monday Nov. 11th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
In Church yesterday the Pastor honored our Service Men/Women by having them stand and giving them a small gift. After that he asked the Police Officers, Fireman, and First Responders to stand and I was shocked how many of the Veterans stood again. There are some people who love their country - town so much that they just give and give. Thank You to All of our LW's who have sacrificed for all of us!

That's how I am going to feel next weekend. We have a competition on Saturday and Sunday. We booked a room between the two convention centers so we don't have to get up so early to travel from home. I had a pretty relaxing weekend. The two little ones are so good and such sound sleepers. DD has actually been taking care of everything including cooking and dishes. I feel like I am on vacation. I guess I underestimated her.....LOL.
Sounds Good!

We had 2 minutes' silence on the plane home yesterday as we tend to do the nearest Sunday in the UK (we have special church services all around the country and they lay poppy wreaths in town/village squares). The pilot made the announcement about the 2 minutes' silence and then he said 'thank you' at the end.
Today I quickly popped out in the rain to get my Subway chicken salad... I miss Tunisia and want it to be Friday already!! ;-)

I make something simalar, except I do put oatmeal in it.
1 egg, 1 egg white, 1/4 c pumpkin, 1/4 oz walnuts, 1/4 cup oatmeal mix it all together and cook like a pancake, sometimes I leave out the egg white and add 1/4 cottage cheese. You can leave out the pumpkin and put chopped apples or raisins instead. Spice it however you want.
Sometimes I make oatmeal 1/4 cup with 1 cup milk, cook slowly till nice an thick about 15 minutes, adding whatever fruit or nuts you want, then at the very end stir in a raw egg and stir and cook a minute or so. It is so filling
