Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

I am a little upset today. I always go up a couple of pounds in the summer because my legs swell so bad but up until now it comes back down as soon as the weather gets cooler.  Yesterday I put my garden shoes on and they practically fell off my feet so I know the swelling is gone but the scale is still at 122. That's 3 lbs.!!!!!   I guess it's time to claim it......  Wishful thinking but maybe just maybe when I get my bladder and diet figured out it will move back down again.

Yes, I bet your retaining some fluid - I hope can find something to help... maybe probiotics?

Anyways, I'm back!! :-D  Most days I had 2 protein shakes although there were a couple where only got one and I only got a little over 100g protein those days.  The rest I was over 120g.

I could've been worse with the carbs - I always got my protein in first and had the naught stuff after.  My clothes are still fitting the same although I'm sure I'm up a couple of lbs (I stopped weighing a while back as I was getting too stressed by the obsession).

It was a wonderful break and I kicked back by the pool and read mostly as DH was suffering from a cough and he wasn't feeling up to much.  The weather was perfect - not too hot.

I've gotta dash as my groceries are being delivered now!! :-D

Missed You!   I'm glad you had a nice time. Is DH feeling better now?  Airplane food is the pits when it comes to watching your weight.  Boredom doesn't help much either.  I usually pack my own snacks if it's a long flight.

Not to bad...could be far worse.

Yes, I think he left his cold/cough behind in Tunisia.

I'm up some lately too.  I have a body scan on Tues and am hoping it is muscle.  Last time my BMI was over wieght but I was under fat so I was ok with that.  We will see Tues.

It's been a beautiful day here.  I just got in from driving Halley and walked with Thor this morning.  Still trying to decide if I am going to Zumba or just enjoying my afternoon off with the guys gone.

My choice would be alone time...but I don't enjoy exercising...lol  I hope your scan turns out good!  How often do you get one done?  Is it just a routine scan or was your last one showing problems?  I've only had one done and I think that was about 4 years ago.

Sounds Good Price!

that was what I decided, alone time.  I do enjoy exercising but I have been going strong all weekend so an afternoon of knitting was appealing.

This scan is just to show muscle, fat, bone not really anything like bone density.  My last one was great and I am hoping this one will be too.  Last time my % of fat was 19% and normal is 24-36%, so I haven't been worried about the extra weight.  My body fat was the lowest, more in my legs which I would have thought wasn't right.  I feel like it is in my tummy.  Anyway, we will see what this one shows.  We can do them for free at the gym every quarter but I missed the last time.

I can find legs lots of places but I can only find thighs at one chain, Ingles.  I really prefer the thighs but no one else likes them so I buy all I can when I find them and freeze them.  One makes 2 lunches for me.

Good idea about buying them several times a year when you see them. Lesson learned this year!
