I missed you all yesterday! Thank you Linda for doing M&M!! I took a vacation day because DH is going on a hunting trip to Iowa on Thursday so I needed to do a little shopping and cooking for him. I also took my Mom out to eat and to get groceries. It will be nice not having to do that on the weekend. The stores are so crowded on the weekend and it takes so much longer. We had a nice calm day.

glad you had a good day off yesterday. Did you ever find out what was going on with you??? Did that happen while I was gone?
I had another planned meeting canceled which has screwed my day. I just hate it when that happens and I could have been doing something else. Oh well, now I am headed into town to see staff and clients at a Wednesday church lunch and their workshop. then a carriage club board meeting tonight.

Yes, finally. I switched Urologists. He did a scope and my bladder is enflamed. He says I have Interstitial Cystitis (IC). He gave me medication and I have to completely change the foods I eat. No more Wendy's Chili was the first thing I eliminated. The NUT at my Surgeons office emailed me some really good articles with lists of foods to avoid. No spices, no artificial flavors, no citrus etc. Basically anything that gave me heart burn before WLS is now causing irritation in my bladder which is making it cramp. I've had what I thought was urine infections for years but the Dr. said it was probably IC instead. On the 14th I go and have some other kind of medication put into my bladder but I can tell the difference already. Thank goodness Whey Protein is on my GOOD list! My only concern is that it as citric acid in it but I'm not willing to give it up my Lemon Tea unless my bladder just won't heal with the food changes.
That's crazy how people can cancel meetings and not think much about it being an inconvenience to you.

At least you are better. I'm glad your protein is ok. I eat so much different stuff but I still get in ruts. I know you love your Wendy's chili. Hopefully you will find some blander stuff that will keep you happy.

Glad you had a good day. Maybe you can enjoy your weekend and have some "Me" time!! I think I'm going to take the weekend off too. I really need to stay home and clean my house and get it ready for Thanksgiving. DH is having a fit to put the Christmas tree up already...

I don't think "Me" time is figured into the equation. DD#1 and grandkids are staying with me so I doubt if I will get much relaxing. DD will think she is on vacation though...LOL. She lives right behind me (about 1.5 acres away) but she stayed home today to pack for their "adventure". DGD is all excited about coming to stay. She loves my soft King size bed. I don't know how the baby will do.
I'm not ready to put up the tree but I would like to have my outside lights done so we don't have to do it in the cold. DD#1 has Thanksgiving at her house but I do all of the cooking and DH delivers it on his golf cart.

SO glad you switched Dr's and he's helping you. How frustrating that was for you - but now you have something to work towards. Glad you're already feeling better!!
I'm not ready for the holidays, in fact, if I could swing it, I'd just go somewhere warm and hibernate. I think I'm becoming Scrooge.
Leaving for vacation tomorrow and I can't wait!! I hope the weather is good. Flight leaves at 5:40 pm... Going on a western Caribbean cruise! Never been that way, so I'm looking forward to new places. Grand Caymen, Costa Maya (MX) and Cozumel. I need a new camera.. I started packing today hoping I would remember now what I'd forget tomorrow. AND - I've packed too many clothes, I even weeded some out!
