Month One Results and Stuff I've Learned -- X-posted on VSG
I cannot believe it's been a month already! Time flies when you're melting away!
Results -- 32.4 pounds down overall, 20.2 since surgery. (Yes, I use decimals. Everything counts!) Holy crap! Amazing!
Stuff I've Learned -- I can drink with a straw with no trouble. I can drink in "normal swallows" with no trouble. Eating requires patience and thorough attention to chewing. Decaf coffee can be a base for an effective AM protein drink. Decaf ice tea goes down better than plain water. Baked chicken (or store-bought rotisserie chicken) can be used in a variety of ways, and lasts a long time when you only eat a couple ounces at a meal. Ketosis breath is nasty. Coconut oil feels great on my skin. And last but not least, ricotta mixed with canned pumpkin, a little spice and a little stevia makes a nice snack.
I'm down a jeans size, my scars are healing nicely, and people close to me are noticing a difference. I've started some light cardio and it feels great. I'm so happy with my decision and I love my sleeve!
