Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!

Snow flurries forecasted for the rest of the week.  Not enough to send me into hibernation but it won't be long now.  The grandkids are excited about it because they think Santa will be coming really soon.

OK...so I have decided to try and eat a few more salads (especially when we eat out).     I WILL hunt until I find a dressing that I enjoy.  What are some suggestions to put in my salad besides lettuce that would be healthy and make it more appetizing?  What kind of lettuce do you use?

I made 2 pumpkin pies over the weekend and thankfully there is only one piece left because I keep taking bites of the pumpkin filling (no crust).  I guess if you are going to indulge this is one of the better pies to do it with.

Hi Roz!

I'm having exterior doors replaced on my house today and BRRRR it's cold in here!  Says it's 50 outside but.... doesn't feel like it!

Cold forecast for here too - need to get these doors done!  I'm excited to finally get them done!

I'm also replacing interior doors... trying to get them painted in the garage.  Yesterday I put a heater in there and that worked, but don't think it will today.

Carby day today.  Making chicken and dumplings for dinner, then changed it to chicken pot pies, but either way they both have bisquick in them.  I've made some for lunch to experiment a little.  The contractor loved them!  lol  I'm making them in muffin tins - so they're the size of a muffin.  I love cooking small portions like that.  I'm taking dinner to  my daughters tonight.

B - bacon and coffee

L - about 3 of those muffins - yummmm

D - more of them.

Vits:  soon

water:  working on it - but it's more warm type of drinks today!

They sound Yummy!  Have you tried the carbquik?  I've liked everything I've made with it so far. I like to make individual portions too.  I do need to stock up.  I think that's part of the problem.  I can't find anything at home to grab and go so I just don't eat or I grab something that I shouldn't be eating at work that the girls brought in.

We replaced our doors a couple of years ago and it made such a difference in our house.  We need to do the garage doors next summer.

You must have made a lot of muffins to be able to take them to your DD's.

Snow - yikes!! :-S  I can't believe that I get up so early these days, that I'm actually looking forward the clocks changing this weekend!!

I like spinach rather than lettuce - I just find it tastier and prefer the texture.  I like it with warm chicken, some goat's cheese and a balsamic glaze.

The glaze is where they've cooked the oil and vinegar 'til they get sweet and syrupy.  You can buy glazes now rather than having to cook them or go to a restaurant to get some.  Posh restaurants only give you a tiny amount, so you might be fine with that as an RNYer.

Our clocks change on 11/5.  DH hates it because then he has to go to work an hour later and come home an hour later. He is an early bird.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Good Totals!

We haven't gotten any snow yet.  I just heard that next week is going to be in the 60's again.   Did DS get to see the Big yellow DUCK that was in Pgh?  I wanted to see it so bad but I couldn't find anyone to go with me.

Sounds Good Gina!

I'll have to ask him since he hasn't said on Facebook. I've seen several pictures posted. What's it all about?

Any lettuce other than iceburg which has basically nothing in it bu****er.  The darker green, the better.  Spinach is great, I like celery, peppers, tomatoes, any cheese and if you are out, add ham, chicken etc so you get your protein too.  Since you like sweet, balsalmic vinager is sweeter than regular so try that.

got a walk in this morning then work, work, work.  My new pony came around 4:30 so I have been out with him.  He is very cute and I think will settle in fine.  He and Halley seem to be getting along.  I won't put him with Poppy for a while, she is a real alpha mare and mean.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, cheese, kale
lemon tea protein  13g
low carb wrap with cheese, ham, spinach
lemon tea protein  13g
celery, peanut butter
pork chop, green beans
protein shake  33g

I was going to start the salads today (Wed.) but it didn't happen.  I got my old faithful Wendy's chili.  Do you eat low fat cheese? I haven't liked the LF cheese that I have tried but putting dressing on it might help. I think my SIL buys the balsamic.  I will try some at his house.

I can't wait to hear what you name him.  How old is the new one, Halley and Poppy? Have you had the older too since they were ponies?

I've been eating carrots and PB.  Someone suggested it and I was surprised they taste so good together.

Sounds Good!
