I've been super busy the last couple of weeks. Life has been a little crazy. A couple of weeks ago DH & I went to the OH conference. Had a great time. Then, I started my new job as a substitute teacher. So far, I have worked every day, but it has been a major adjustment to hop from place to place. I never know what time lunch will be, or what I'm getting into, but so far, so good.

Then, last weekend, I competed again at a more local event. I had 3 1st place finishes kiss. I was the only one in my age group and ability level which meant I had to compete against the rule book, which is harder than competing against other people.

With all of this running around, I've been a little behind on water & protein, and I have paid for it with a 3 pound gain over the past 2 weeks. I better start logging in MFP again.

Good to see you checking in. Congratulations on your competition.  : )

I hope things will be getting more routine and easier to handle at work.

Congrats on the 1st place finishes!!!  I understand competing against the rule book. Some of our All-Star cheer teams have to do that when their division doesn't have any competition.  It's easier to win against someone who visibly isn't as good than it is against the score sheet.

My DD#2 just started substitute teaching a couple of weeks ago and her phone is ringing off the hook. She said the worst parts are lunch and knowing where to go.  We have 7 elementary schools. I told her she will get used to the schools and learn her way around after I while.  I substituted for a long time as a teaching assistant in special aid and I loved it.

Work on that Protein!  Buy some snacks like jerky to keep your purse or car. I keep extra Protein Powder in my car.

congrats on your wins!!! to compete is to win and so you are a double winner.

I subed when I was pregnant with my son and we were new in the town so it was even a challenge to get to the school, much less everything else.  It does get better as you learn each school then just have to get use to the different kids.  Pack snacks!!!
