WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!!
Happy Saturday LW's!!!! Any exciting plans today? 5 yr. old DGS has a basketball game and then I'm taking my Mom for groceries and to buy shoes. I'm hoping this evening I can start putting my summer things away so I have room in the closet for my winter things......
Do you still struggle eating out at restaurants? At 5 years out I still struggle. I don't like salads or that might solve the problem. Early out when I only ate a few bites I would just eat off of DH's plate but now that I can eat a little more I just hate to spend the money for a meal. It kills me to pay $15.00 for a meal that I don't finish (rarely enjoy) and even if I take the leftovers home they rarely get eaten. Some restaurants allow me to order from the kids menu but I think it is crazy how many carbs are on the kids menu. No wonder we are all hooked on carbs when we get older. Mac n Cheese, French fries, coated chicken strips, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese...and then they finish if off with a free cookie etc.
It's not even November yet and my in box is full of Black Friday Ads. I'm saving them but I'm going to hold off looking at them for awhile unless I am bored or temptation takes over.

Hi Roz,
I actually slept in this morning. Just finished my coffees. DH is aggravating me already. He is ready to go and I still have to get ready. I told him I am not going to be rushed today. We are going to the mall, by his aunts house to check on her, eat lunch out, by the Grandkids for a little loving and then home. I have work to do today.
I try to limit my eating out to 1 - 2 times a week. I go ahead and order a meal usually and bring the other part home and have it the next meal. We go to this place that sells things by the item so if I get a piece of fish, that is my meal and it is pretty cheap. If we go Mexican, I usually just get tacos or something and eat the inside out of it. I will be eating out a lot next week. I'll be traveling Tuesday - Friday to my other location for the audit. I am not prepared for it yet. That is what I need to work on this weekend.

DH is a really picky eater. I'm happy with a bowl of soup but he is a steak man so we mainly do restaurants and I have a hard time paying that much money for a meal. I would rather go to a buffet where I can make good choices and have a little variety. I am going to start trying salads. The salad dressings scare the crap out of me though and I don't like to eat lettuce without dressing. Are there any semi healthy dressings that you buy that I could take with me?
Do you buy squash at the grocery store?
Traveling all week...I will try not to bother you.....LOL
Sounds Good!

I rarely have problems eating out. Chicken salad is often what I go for as I've never had an issue with salad - admittedly I didn't have it for ~6 months after either of my WLSs. I also have the insides of burgers, ribs, chicken curry without rice. What does salad do to you?
I'm thinking we may go out tonight as I don't feel like cooking and I fancy a change.

I just don't care for salads unless they are covered in dressing for some flavor. Salad dressings scare the crap out of me. I think we eat out so much that I'm just sick of the same old places and menus.
Sounds Good!

He he, dressing is the point of lettuce - ie it's not worth having without it IMO :-D

We have brought so many left overs home and they just get tossed. DH has never been one for eating left overs. We waste a lot of food at our house. I think I am sick of the same old restaurants and menus.
I should have had a DS so I could eat sauces and dressings.
Sounds Good!

When eating out, I usually eat too much then still bring some home. I love leftovers so that isn't a problem for me.
So I left pretty early this morning to go look at a new pony and ended up buying him. He will be delivered sometime in the next week or so. I am so excited. He is young and needs some miles before he is ready to compete but because of being young, I will have him for a long time (maybe as long as I am driving).

AWE...what did you name him? It's probably good to buy them young so you can train them the way you want.
Are the blueberry muffins made with carbquik? I'm going to make some more banana ones tonight.
Sounds Good!
